That's a wrap

And October has come to an end. It was a busy month, full of fun fall activities. Tonight we dressed up for the last time this year and went out trick or treating. And now I have 3 bags full of candy downstairs on the table. Gator went on a fun fieldtrip with her class to Black Island Farms.
I made dinner in a pumpkin tonight.  I thought it would be fun for Halloween.  Owen and Gator loved the dinner.....
Davis is my horrible picky eater, and he of course didn't like dinner.  That kid is going to get sick of top ramen, rice, or chicken noodle soup someday, I promise.
And going out to fill these bags with treats.

Fun, fall weekend

We crammed a whole lot of fall fun into this weekend.  Good thing, the kids didn't have school on Friday or else we wouldn't have been able to fit it all in.  We went to a movie,  Hotel Transylvania.  Besides Gator having ants in her pants it was a cute movie, for what I saw.
Owen and Davis went and supported their high school in the play offs.  Gator and I stayed home and got dressed up again to go to the Trunk or Treat.  The boys froze, (but they didn't care one bit and Fremont won) we got to eat yummy warm soup and lots of treats.  We definitely chose the better activity.
Our last trip to Lagoon this season.  Always a little sad to see the Lagoon season end.
Today we came home from church and carved pumpkins. Owen was kinda upset his pumpkins eyes didn't work how he wanted so he just cut one big eye, then got the idea to carve Mike Wazowski.  He did a pretty good job.
And this was our yummy dinner.  What a perfect fall meal.  And both the Patriots and Bears won today, so the boys were in good moods.  It was a fun weekend!

It's coming

Coming home last night from Owens game at 10:30, I could feel winter in the air.  I told the kids that winter and SNOW were coming.  Owen opened the door this morning to go to school and there it was...snow.  Not a ton, but it still was exciting.  Ally stood by the window watching it snow, waiting for there to be enough to go play in it.  We never got enough to break the sleds out, but it was still enough for her to have her favorite winter snack. We went and said hi to Blake and Millie today and Ally and Blake thought it was still summer and ran outside without shoes or socks to go play.  They had a brief snowball fight, then came running in to warm their toes by the fire.  I love the changes in the seasons and I am ready for some more winter.

The main event

The anticipated event of the weekend was when it was finally time for Gator to put on her cat costume and have the fun carnival.  She was so excited to be a cat.  Owen is a blind ref and Davis a mime.  They came up with their own costumes this year, and they are so cute!  This was the second Fall Carnival, and Dad and Dianne are amazing.  Every little detail was planned and carried out perfectly.  The kids and I had a great time!!  I hope Dad and Dianne aren't too tired because they need to get planning next year, we will definitely be there.

Toquerville Tour

We woke up Saturday and went for a walk around town, to see the sights of Toquerville.  It was a short walk, there isn't much to see.  One time when we were in town, we had the kids at the park (we didn't get that in our tour dang it), and a man was talking to us there and asking us where we were from.  He was raised in Toquerville, and he said the only thing you could buy in Toquerville was a stamp.  I thought that was funny, so we had to include the post office in our tour of course.  We saw the Toquerville Rock, a museum, and the town hall.  Ok there may not be a lot to see in Toquerville, but we always manage to have a great time when we visit.

Halloween party/Birthday

Clarks grandpa is turning 80 this week and the family had a party for him on Sunday evening.  We had just barely gotten back in town from Toquerville, so all of our costumes were still dirty from the carnival, but the boys have these crazy morph suits and I raided Ally's dressup drawer so we were able to dress up and join the fun of the party.

Change up

The boys started the basketball season this week.  Done with one sport and on to the next.  Basketball is a little rough in the beginning, they are still in football mode and are pretty aggressive and they are used to snapping the football hard, so they need to soften it just a bit when shooting the basketball.  They both did great though!
