We made it....barely

We were driving along today having a great time, and we were only about 30 minutes from Disneyland when Clark said "we have a flat", I just thought the road was bumpy, but than the tire blew. It was scarey in the busy LA traffic to try to get over and off to the side. Clark did great though, I would have freaked out. So we changed the tire luckily Stewarts have a full size tire for the spare and we didn't have to worry about a "donut". It was changed and we were on the road again shortly.

We had planned on just walking around Disneyland and letting the kids see things and just enjoy being there, but we just couldn't help ourselves. We jumped right in line and had a blast. For a Saturday night it was amazing. The park was very crowded, but the longest line we waited in was maybe 15 minutes. So the kids got a good taste of Disneyland, and we have 4 more days to do it all again!

Our Vacation Day 1

We are in Las Vegas tonight. I cannot believe we are finally going on our vacation. But first I have to brag for just a minute. Owen came home from school today with a certificate. It said he scored in the top 10% of the nation on his testing. At first he didn't get why we were so excited, and than we explained to him what this meant and he thought it was pretty cool too. He is a smart kid!! We picked the boys up from school and just hit the road. We stopped in Cedar City to have lunch with dad and Dianne. Thanks for the visit, we had a good time and a much needed break from the drive. Clark and the boys had tickets tonight to the Tournament of Kings dinner show. I didn't think Ally would find it too entertaining so I let them have a guys night and they had a BLAST!! These pictures are from Clarks phone so sorry for the poor quality, I should've parted with my camera for the night and let him take it. I hung out with Josh and Rachelle, and we got all practiced up for Disneyland and walking around the park, by walking around forever to find dinner (okay so we were lost), but amazingly we did find our restaurant and the car again. We were blessed, that is all I can say because we don't have any idea how we did it. We all had a fun day and will be back at it again in a few hours. Yea, for vacations!!!!

A day with cousins

We drove up to Heber City today to take a ride on Thomas the Tank Engine. Owen was a little embarassed to be checked out of school for Thomas, he said he was only going for Davis and his "little cousins", but he ended up having a great time as well as everyone else. All our Stewart cousins went except for Jess. Thanks to Dave and Sheila for arranging this fun outing!

Exciting Night!

The boys have really enjoyed their fishing class. Tonight was the last night and they had a BBQ for the kids and families. A guy came to teach the kids how to cook the fish (that no one had caught up till that point anyway) and had them all sample some. My boys have always said they hated fish, although they have never tried it. I was proud of them because tonight they tried it and they both said they like it.

With enough dipping sauce, I guess anything is good!!!

Tonight was the night. After 6 weeks of standing and fishing, the boys finally caught some fish. It was a very exciting night, most of the kids caught something tonight. The fish finally came out of hiding.

Davis was just as excited to throw his fish back as he was to catch it. I just couldn't bring myself to take the fish home and clean them out, I figured they would be much happier swimming with their friends!

And just a couple cute pictures of the little people who have cheered their siblings on the last 6 weeks.

We survived another fieldtrip

I love you so much Owen and Davis, but I am done with field trips and bus rides and carnivals and such for awhile. Well, I guess until next week, when there is field day and yearbooks. Today was Owen's class field trip. We went to the dinosaur park, it was a much shorter bus ride, but my head hurt more by the end of the ride. 3rd graders are so much louder than the kindergarten kids. I feel so sorry for the teachers right now at the school. I would just throw in the towel and let the kids take over, because that is pretty much what has happened anyways. Ah fun times!!

Davis' Field Trip

Davis' kindergarten class went to the Gateway Childrens Museum. There were kids everywhere! Davis loved it and keeps asking when we can go back with Owen and Ally. He was so cute the whole time, he kept saying "oh Owen would love this." I was suprised he was even thinking of Owen, but it made me smile to know that he was. 2 weeks left of school, and 2 weeks until our vacation. We go from one party to the next!

Kanesville Carnival!

My kids go to a party school! This last 2 weeks of school is insane. Today was a carnival and we have class parties and field trips and field days, and softball games and yearbooks still coming up! We started the night off with a "Family Fun Walk" we went from the school to a park and back again. I was giving Davis a piggyback ride while pushing a stroller for a good part of it, but we did make it....barely. After the walk was food and games and rock climbing and blowup bouncy toys. I didn't know where the boys were half the time, but they had a great time. On tomorrows to do list is the kindergarten field trip to the Gateway Science Center. I am so thrilled to be riding the bus with all those 6 year olds. I will update when I am recovered.
