Another catch all post
The boys went to another Jazz game. They really enjoy going to these games, and the majority of the time, really cheap tickets are available online. It makes for a fun evening to keep these boys entertained!
Gator and I stayed home from the game, she had a stomach bug and wasn't feeling good all day Saturday. We hung out and painted nails and colored paper doll chains. That is what I do a good part of the day now, make paper doll chains for her to color. The boys brought her home a little Jazz bear, they felt bad she was sick. Owen put it in bed with her and later I checked on her and she was hugging it. Monday mornings are the least fun day of the whole week!
A late night ice cream trip. Like I've said before, sometimes you just need ice cream.
More fishing. No luck this time, Davis had a fish playing with him all night long, but Davis was never able to snag him before he let go of the worm and swam away.
She's up to 82 jumps on her pogo stick. Her goal is 100, almost there!

Some more smores
I love Sunday's after church. I finally get to hang out with my kids with nothing else like games, or practices, or homework getting in the way. Sunday evenings are mine. We usually just play out back, or go for a walk or bike ride, but we are together and having a fun time. We usually eat dinner outside and tonight we made tin foil dinners. While the fire was burning, we figured it was a perfect night for smores. Good thing I almost always have the supplies for smores on hand.

Babysitting Eggs
At work we thought it would be fun to have some eggs the kids could watch hatch. Well, eggs are a little too fragile and not exciting enough for a special needs class room and now I have 32 eggs at home on my kitchen table "cooking". I will keep them home until the expected day and then transport them back to work. My kids love having them here and they are hoping they hatch during spring break, I am actually praying for the opposite.

St. Patricks
I'm so glad we have a nice leprechaun that comes visit every year instead of one of the messy mischievous ones. The kids got another scavenger hunt and a pot of "gold", which is so much better than a trashed turned upside down room that I would just have to clean up anyway. This way there is no mess, and they share their treat with me.

Getting taxes done
We had to get our taxes done this afternoon, and our appointment was right after Davis's basketball game, which means....the kids had to go along. Taxes are dreadful enough for adults, so imagine how not excited they were, but an Arctic Circle just down the street saved the day. They took off walking to get a treat and Clark and I hung our heads and went into the office to get the taxes done. I did get a nice picture of the kids though, and they brought me back some fries, but I'm still upset with Gator...she got my mint flavor shake, the nerve!!

Davis has all the luck
Like I've said before, I have no clue where my kids got their love for fishing. But they do enjoy it, and I enjoy watching them. Although tonight, I didn't go along. Their friends took them fishing and this is the picture I got on my phone as Clark and I were eating our anniversary dinner.

Hunting for Gold
With the warmer days, the neighbor kids are all starting to come back outside and my kids are loving it. My kids are outside from when they home from school until dark when I drag them in to do homework and go to bed. Tonight we had a beautiful rainbow, and Owen led them in looking for the pot of gold at the end.
Gator has gold and leprechauns on her mind obviously, this was her writing assignment from school. I love to see when kids are just learning to spell and write on their own. Sunday, March 9, 2014
Longer days
Daylight savings brings longer days that we can play outside. We celebrated daylight savings this afternoon by going to the park and playing. The daylight got us all off schedule though. We were playing too long, which made dinner late, which made the boys late getting to homework, which made for a late bedtime. Oh well, we had a fun afternoon!

Some of this, some of that
I've been collecting random pics on my phone thinking I definitely wanted them in my book they just weren't really enough for a post on their own. So I just kept collecting them to do a random "this is our life" post.
Owen has been playing a lot of basketball, and he was just exhausted after another tournament this weekend. He's down to just one team for spring though, that will be strange for him.
Ally was so excited to celebrate her 100 days of school a little bit ago. Her writing assignment for that week made me smile. She was sad when her teacher kept her paper, but was excited when she was told she loved it so much she was keeping it so she could get a copy of it to keep forever. (If I had 100 dollars I would buy a cat)What a rejected face huh. Davis had never foaled out of a game until last Monday. He had such a hard time walking to the bench and staying there while his team fought for the win. Luckily, his team was able to hold on to the lead by one point!! Too close for me.
Owen tried to blend in with the kindergarten class, nice try Owen!!
Gator had a friend over and wanted to teach her to ride without training wheels.
The 5th grade got to go skiing. This is a sport my kids haven't been exposed to, but after this ski day, Davis is sure he wants to pick it up as a hobby.
Crazy sock day at school. Davis and Gator were no where near each other when they got dressed for school. In fact Gator was with me taking Owen to school . Her response when we walked in and saw Davis "What the....." and Davis "dang I don't have time to change."
Dinner at McDonalds after one of the games. Bethany insisted Owen climb up to the top with her.
Pancakes and Pajamas
Our house was bursting with little girls this morning. Ally had her birthday party, and it was full of fun and excitement. She's wanted a pajama party ever since last year, and since I'm not brave enough to do a slumber party, we had a pajama & pancake party. All these little girls to play with for 2 hours and what does she ask the second they all have to go home "mom, can I have a friend over". She is a social girl and loves her friends!
