No school=fun day!!
The boys didn't have school on Monday, so they planned out their day well in advance. They had a sleepover with Chris on Sunday evening. They maybe got about 2 hours of sleep if they were lucky. I had no idea, they were awake, I got a good nights sleep! (What a bad mom.) They all had a great time watching movies and playing games and being crazy boys. On Monday we went over to Krissy's for lunch and then the kids colored Easter Eggs. So it is a little early for that, but they had a great time none the less. We had planned to go to a park, but the typical Utah spring weather put an end to that idea. After the 60's we have had a week of snow and cold. By the end of the evening the boys were exhausted. They were asleep by 7:00. Then it was back to school the next day, but not for long. They are starting the 4th quarter. I can't believe that, they will be out for summer vacation in no time.

Antelope Island
We took the boys out to Antelope Island yesterday afternoon. I don't remember ever being out there until last summer. Clark and I took a motorcycle ride out there and we kept saying the whole time the boys would love it here. And it took us till now to get them there, but we were right, they did enjoy it. I had no idea all that was out there, it was quite interesting. That is horrible to admit that I have lived here almost my whole life and I never really knew anything about Antelope Island. The buffalo and old tractors were definitely the favorite of both Owen and Davis. Ally doesn't care what she is doing as long as she is outside!

St. Particks Day!
Owen and Davis are so funny, they love St. Patricks day. They get so excited for just about every holiday. This particular holiday brings a sneaky little leprechaun to our house. "It" tapes clovers up and down the hallway and leaves the kids a treat down in the kitchen. I also made them green pancakes and milk. They thought it was great fun!

Not again!
Ally has injured her nose again. Her poor little nose! This time she was sneaking out of the house, and fell down the garage steps. Those of you that come to my house, you know we usually keep a gate up coming into the house from the garage. That is because, Ally can get that door open and get outside. She prys it open by sticking her little finger in between the door and the frame and than she is gone! I am so scared she will get out in the street or just wander the neighborhood, that is why we have the gate up, so sorry to everyone that has to step over it when you come over. She got her nose and her eye all scratched up. This picture is sad you can see the little tear on her cheek.

Books!
I took this picture 3 days ago, and the book is no longer in one piece. I have read and read and read this book to Ally and she drags it everywhere. She loves this book. I remember with Owen it was "Can you tell me how to get to Sesame Street." So since I am thinking of this blog as a journal, I am going to just make a note of my kids' favorite authors so I can remember. Feel free to offer any books or authors your children like and we will give them a try. My kids have always loved stories.
*Karma Wilson
*Jonathan London, he writes the "Froggy" books and they are very cute!
*Matt Christopher, these are chapter books so they are for older kids. Owen loves these books because they are sports books!
*Ron Roy, again these are also chapter books. He writes the A to Z mystery series. (These and the sports books are on the AR list for those of you with elementary kids.)
*Jeff Kinney, The Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. Owen has all of these books and he has lent them out to all the kids in his class. They all have the same humor I guess.
*Tedd Arnold, I will have to say he is also one of my favorite childrens author. His books (Huggly, and Fly Guy are a couple) are so cute, and the illustrations are so cute!!
*Mercer Mayer, everyone has read these. He writes "The Little Critter" books.
*Sandra Boynton, again another one of my favorites as well as my kids!
*Dav Pilkey, please do not remember my post if you let your kids read these books. They are just very "Boy" humor. He writes the "Captain Underpants" books.

It didn't take long!
I got Ally a wagon for her birthday. She LOVES to play outside and go for walks so I thought she would have a lot of fun with a wagon. Well, she does, but not quite in the fashion I had thought. Today was the first time we took it outside and already the boys have gotten to it. It is no longer just a "wagon", it is a limousine for their sister pulled by their bikes!

PartyTime!!
We had Ally's birthday party today and it was a lot of fun. We missed all that couldn't be here, alot of the little kids were sick so some of our family couldn't come. The kids had a blast though and Ally loved every second of all the attention she was getting. She was funny with her cake. She started by just sticking her one little finger in and than licking it off and doing that again and again. Finally someone stuck her hands in the cake and that was the end of the cleanliness. She had that cake everywhere in a matter of seconds! Thanks to everyone for the nice gifts she is a very spoiled loved little girl. She got a baby stroller as a gift and she loves that. It is still strange to me to have these little girls toys around. She had to have her baby and would walk her baby around, patting it on the head. So between the stroller and little cute dresses she definitely is a "little girl". Thanks to everyone that came and celebrated this special day with our family. We love having family over, and we are very blessed with such supportive families.

Happy Birthday Baby Girl!
Well, the day came. Ally is one year old. Here she is this morning on her special day. Between school and basketball poor Ally is going to have to wait until Saturday to really celebrate her birthday. I am a very mean mom and took her in for her one year appointment today. She is 23 lbs. and 31 in. the doctor said she is very tall. Go figure! She got 4 shots, and she was not a happy girl.

There was one new thing that came today with her getting older though. She threw her first crying, screaming, kicking fit. I am sorry it was so cute I had to take pictures. She actually did it twice today. She was mad at me this morning for taking her picture and not letting her have my camera, and than later this afternoon she was mad at me for doing her hair. Oh the drama!!

PS first day with pigtails, aren't they cute!!

Ally's big day!
Ally is having a special day on Wednesday. She is turning 1. I am in total disbelief that this time has come so quickly. Ally is such a special part of our family. She is a wonderful little caboose. We are so lucky that she came to be a part of our family after a few years of thinking we weren't going to be able to have another child. I was sending Davis off to school, and Heavenly Father knew that I needed one more little person to keep me company while the boys were growing up so fast themselves. And of course I have tons of pictures of her first year. So I put together this slide show. Sorry it is so long, if you don't feel like watching the whole thing it won't hurt my feelings. I just could not really choose which pictures to use. So Happy Birthday Ally-gator! We love you.

Whoops!!
Davis has had a slide in his room. He loved it, and that is how he got out of bed every morning. Well, this morning, I was getting ready for church and he comes running in with fear in his eyes. (He terrified me) He had put his foot through the wall coming down the slide. Whoops!! So now we have a hole to fix, I need to learn how to do that I guess. I just took the slide down so I could finish getting ready for church. Well, Davis found a new place for the slide. He put the slide down the stairs. It is a big hit with Ally, she thinks it is great. Her and Davis played on it for hours today. I love seeing the boys playing with her. It is so cute, and she just loves her brothers so much.
