Not quite like I had planned....

My plans began simple enough. Taking the kids along with Grace and Lu into Salt Lake for a day out and about, but the day turned out anything but simple. We were walking around the planetarium when Ally had a bit of a mishap. She was riding on Owens shoulders and decided she wanted to get off, but thought she could do this alone and she fell right to the floor and landed on her head. The sound of her hitting the floor was horrible. After I got her calmed down with the help of a nice lady that was calming me down so I could calm Ally down, I decided to take her to the doctor to just get it checked out. So the kids and I boarded Trax to go to Primary Childrens for an exam. She was acting pretty tired and out of it, but once she snapped out of that she was her normal self. After a couple of hours we got back on the Trax to head down the hill. Well, we got on the wrong one, so we had to get off, and wait for another. Finally at around 6:30 we were off the train and very tired. Thanks to Grace and Lu and my boys for being so good and understanding about the day and for helping me out.


I also decided what my new years resolution will be. I need to be aware of people around me and what I can do to help. After Ally fell this morning a stranger was right there to help me and see what she could do. On the trax Davis had left his toy so a man got off the trax and found us to give it back, and then almost missed his chance to get back on so he could go where he needed to. And also on the train on the way home, Ally was hungry and tired. A lady came up to her and gave her an orange that she had just peeled for herself to eat. All these people helped me and I would like to be more aware of people in situations where I can help them.

Few words, but tons of pictures. That is what this post will be. We had a fantastic Christmas. We got to see everyone throughout the week, and do lots of fun activites togeter. Thankyou to everyone! Here are some pictures of our Christmas Eve. We went to grandma Jones' house. She always has such a nice party planned and we all enjoy going every year. Thankyou to grandma Jones, and Trisha, Jana and Jeannie for all your planning. It was wonderful!!!





Christmas morning began early in our home, but for once it was not Owen that woke everyone else up. He was actually the last one to wake up. That is a first in our home. I love to see the kids open their gifts. They are so funny. Of course they love to see what they get, but I love to see how excited they are for eachother. And they seem to really care that the others are happy. Sometimes I can see the love my kids have for eachother, most other times it is just a fight for oneself in my home, but sometimes they give it away that they love eachother!!








After my kids trashed my house, we moved onto Carrie and Wayne's. Yummy soup!! I love that tradition.



We ended the night at Stewarts. Amazing I know but by this point I was tired of taking pictures, so I have none of our night. It was more of the same. Fun and family and spoiled rotten kids. Thankyou to everyone for everything! This morning Christmas is all put away, and we are enjoying a quiet day at home enjoying eachother and our new things. We hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas and families.

Well, it came again. My house is going crazy with excitement this morning. I think Clark and I are just as bad as my kids. We are extremely blessed. Thankyou to all our friends and family. We wish you all a wonderful day with your families and loved ones. I love primary songs and this is my favorite Christmas primary song. I sing it with my kids, hoping they can get a little of what Christmas is all about.

Temple Square

Today we took the front runner into Salt Lake again. I am so grateful that I did, because on our way into town we saw numerous wrecks. It was snowing and cold and icy. Conditions that I do not like to drive in. So it was nice to sit back on the train and just enjoy the snow. We had a fun evening. Josh and Rachelle came along and Carrie met us there after she got off work. After we walked around for awhile, we were all hungry and the kids were tired and cold, so we went and got dinner. Sorry Carrie that we rushed out of there, but we did catch the train we wanted to barely. And it was so crowded we stood the whole way home, and that did not make for happy kids. But we made it safe and sound and now I have 3 happy sleeping kids, and I am going to go join them!

Early Christmas Dinner

Dad and Dianne came up tonight to celebrate Christmas. Krissy made a wonderful dinner, that was so yummy! It was a nice evening and it was great to relax and chat. Argh, my camera was having a temperamental night so some of the pictures are blurry. Why can't technology always work the way we want it to? Anyway sorry about that side note. It was a very nice evening. Thanks to my wonderful family.







A bit of a sad moment. Davis has had this adorable double front tooth. Not many people noticed it, but as his mom I saw it every time he smiled or laughed. And I thought it was so cute and unique, just like Davis. Well, tonight he got that tooth knocked out. Just kids being silly and having fun, but no more double tooth. I know it is dumb to be sad over a tooth, but my kids are changing so fast. So now he is in his bed asleep hoping the tooth fairy will pay him double for this "double" tooth. Good thing the tooth fairy loves that kid like crazy!!

And that brings us to tonight...

Krissy and PJ had a little birthday party tonight for Eden. It was a typical get together with cousins. Loud and crazy!! Eden got a karaoke machine. The kids put on a performance. Davis sang a nice song complete with actions. I am sure Krissy and PJ will have many more performances in their home with this little machine. I wish them luck with that!!

Salt Lake

We took another trip on the Front Runner down to Salt Lake today. I am quickly becoming a huge fan of the Front Runner. I love not having to worry about driving and traffic and parking. We met Josh and Rachelle at the Planetarium. We had fun, but the Saturday before Christmas is definitely a busy time to go to Salt Lake. Especially when my boys "forgot" their jackets and it was 20 degrees outside, so we had to go shopping and find them sweatshirts. Oh I do not do well with crowds like that, but all in all we had a fun time!

Non traditional Christmas Activity

So shooting guns is not a "Christmas" activity, but the boys still have a great time shooting guns. It was so cold, Ally and I took refuge in the car and even that was cold.

Catching up!

We've been busy playing and just having a good time. All that snow last weekend was fantastic and now we need more! The kids have so much fun outside. And Ally is finally "warming" up to the snow and sledding. She still does not like cold hands though. Just looking at the picture of Owen, you can tell this is not an activity taken lightly in our family. They get very into it. I am lucky my grass has made it through the winters and the boys sledding.

The holidays do strange things to people. They even get me in the kitchen which alone is odd enough, but the fact that I am baking and cooking and doing "crafty" things is just unbelievable! Actually it was a nice day with Krissy and Sheila. Thanks for bringing out the domestic side of me.

Playing in the snow & Christmas Lights

We had a busy day today. The boys were out early from school, and I had told them we needed to take them to get haircuts. They hate getting haircuts worse than anything, so they were SO lucky it snowed and they have a nice mom because they ended up playing in the snow instead. Mat and Andrea came over to join in the fun, but boy it was so cold! Connor liked riding on the 4 wheeler better than behind it. My boys were just there crazy normal selves on the sled. And Ally doesn't quite know what to think of this winter activity, I am sure she will learn to love it like the boys.





After warming up with hot chocolate I had scouts. Krissy came over to help and we attempted to make snowglobes. Well, any tips on homemade snowglobes would be aprreciated because ours didn't turn out too well. But the kids still had fun. After scouts we ate dinner than loaded up in the car to drive to Willard to see the Christmas lights. I love Christmas lights. Fun, fun, fun!!!
