Tis' the Season

It is here, FALL!!! Cool nights, colors, "that smell", pumpkins, halloween, and hanging out with my kids at frightmares. I LOVE this time of year. There are so many fun things to do. And last night we went to Lagoon and kicked off the halloween season. Note to self: never get hypnotized. It is great entertainment, for those watching the show, but embarrassing for the girl who was Barney, or the woman who was a male bodybuilder, or better yet the 3 guys who were the final contestants in the Lagoon beauty pageant. This Thursday we are going 4wheeling up in the mountains to see the fall colors. So if you love fall as much as me and want to join us, you are welcome to.

A night away

After we spent the day Saturday at the ball park, we drove up to Wolf Creek to spend some time "relaxing" with the family. Thanks mom and Colin for inviting us up. I am sorry that when my family come up so does the noise and fighting and craziness, but thanks for the change of scenery. Sometimes it gets boring for them to fight at my house, it is nice to mix it up a little. It is also reassuring to see my nieces and nephews fighting with each other also, and I know it is just not my kids. The kids did have a lot of fun though. They LOVED the rec center. Owen and Collin are now pros of racquetball. The kids also worked on their tennis and basketball skills. They did just about everything, well except sleep that is. Clark and I lucked out. We were over sleeping capacity for one room, so Clark and I "offered" to rent another room. Our boys of course wanted to be with their cousins so we had a quiet night. Well, as quiet as it could be with a one year old with a horrible diaper rash. I did tell my kids to come to our room when they woke up so they didn't bother anyone. And true to their style they came walking in at 6 am. It was a fun time. Rachelle we need to keep practicing tennis, than maybe we can actually hit it back and forth at least 6 times!

Football and Soccer 24/7

Sports have taken over in my home as my boys are getting older. But I am so proud of them. They are so busy with practice and games and training, but they are still doing fantastic in school. Although I am still getting a little annoyed with football. It is all the men in my house think/talk about, and watch. They go to all the games, and practice is every day. Davis is too young to play this year, but with Clark being a coach on Owens team, he has gotten Davis all the pads and helmet and he practices with Owens team. I rarely go to practice, because I just need a break from football. Plus I don't want to watch my boys getting beat up. Owen got a new position on Friday night. He is now playing as Center. At the game on Saturday he did awesome!! His team is undefeated so far. They are a great little team.

Davis takes a break from football twice a week. Once for soccer practice, and once for a game. He has loved soccer since he was 4 and he has always been a speedy little animal. Saturday was his first game of the season. And it is also the first year he is playing actual positions. He gave goalie a try, and loved it. He is very quick to say that this is his last year of soccer because he is doing football next year. Ally will be my only hope. Although with Clark and the boys around she will probably be out on the football field too. I do love watching my boys play sports. It makes a mother very proud, but also very nervous!

And here is a photo of the cutest little spectator at any sporting event! She loves to watch her brothers. She just wants to get out there and play too.

A little of this and a little of that

Between school and scouts and football and soccer and homework we have managed to fit in some fun. It was Collins birthday yesterday and we followed along on their family activity of miniture golf at Cherry Hill. Sorry guys my kids make everything so competitive, it sucks the fun right out of it, but we did have a great time.

Yummy! Krissy invited everyone over for dessert last Sunday. She made peach cobbler (it has been forever since I had that) and homemade icecream. The kids had a great time playing outside. And we all had a good time in the house chatting and enjoying the company. Thanks Toad it was a wonderful, yummy evening!!!

And Clark and I went for a bike ride. It is a little stressful to me when I go for a ride with him. Thinking that we are both away from the kids, on a motorcycle out there in traffic takes away alot of the fun for me, but I still manage to have a good time. Ally wishes she could go, but thanks Toad for watching her for the day!

Yes, I knew this was going on

My poor house was in major need of some cleaning. And allowing Davis and Ally to play with the markers was the only way to get them to leave me alone for some time to do so. So after I cleaned the bathrooms, they went straight in the bath and made a mess of the clean tubs! Oh well such is the life of a mom right!?!

The CUTEST kids!!

Every mom has bragging rights when it come to their kids, but man look at these kids! Are they darling or what?!?

Those left behind

Rachelle, Andrea, Krissy and I went to the park yesterday with the "little" kids that were left behind when school started. I am sure they think they are the lucky ones getting to go to the park and play, instead of going to school.

Official end of summer

After Labor Day is seems summer really is over. The kids have already started school, but they barely get into the routine and than they have Labor Day off. Now it is time to buckle down and get on with school and bring on another season. I didn't want to just sit around today so I called my family and put together a swim dat at Surf n Swim to enjoy one last swim day of the summer. We had a great time. Thanks so much everyone for going, we enjoyed our day!!

We went to JR's birthday party last night. My kids LOVE playing with their cousins. So the kids had a blast and didn't want to leave and go home.

Davis and Owen had so much fun riding these bikes. They would go up to the top of the hill, and then fly down the sidewalk. It was so funny. Yes, Davis is on a purple bike. He didn't care. That is Davis for ya. He just likes to have fun. And the bike that Owen is on, is the bike that he got for his 3rd birthday. We handed it down to Davis, and now JR. So yes he has grown up a little since he was 3!

Wishful Thinking

I am changing my blog background hoping it will help fall come sooner. I LOVE fall. It is by far my favorite season, although I do enjoy all of the season. I enjoy fall and it's activites most. I love the cool crisp air, the smell, watching my kids play football and soccer, pumpkins, soup, the leaves, and colors, frightmares, going for walks, halloween and pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. Oh I want fall to come NOW!!!
