Toquerville weekend

On Friday, Gator had an appointment in Salt Lake.  She is still dealing with her gut problems.  I planned awhile ago since we were already going to be in Salt Lake, heading south, we wanted to go to the St George temple open house.  Dad and Dianne said they would join us, and they planned their family Halloween get together for the same weekend.  It was a quick trip, but good to see dad and the temple was beautiful.  We'll be going down again in a couple of months for the Red Cliffs temple open house.

Krissy's kids watched Willow for us.  They invited us to stay this evening for dinner and carving pumpkins.  I've never carved such a cute little pumpkin.

Jake's farewell

It was a really quick visit, but Owen & Kylee came down today for Jake's farewell.  I loved being with all my kids so much and I totally forgot to take pictures until most everyone had left.

Puppy Love

Davis and Kin are completely crazy and got another dog.  Jake is a Red Fox Lab and they are so in love.  Joey already let him know who is boss and bit his nose so he had to get staples, but since that incident, they've been good.  Gator is in puppy heaven.

Happy 2nd Birthday Willow

Willow turned 2 today.   She is a spoiled loved dog.  Gator can cuss her, but she wouldn't know what to do without her.  Happy Birthday Willow.

Fall Break

We had Thursday and Friday off from school, which was so needed.  This year is tough.  The new teacher, certain kids, my co workers, all of it is just hard.  And Gator is finally getting in a groove with high school.  The 4 day  weekend was a lot of fun.  On Thursday it was cold and rainy, but that just made the corn maze completely dead.  We were the only ones there for over half of the time we were there.  Brady and Zoie could have played all day, but Gator and Lainee had plans to go to a haunted house.  So we went home and made dinner then I took Brady and Zoie home and dropped Gator and Lainee off at Haunted Hollow.  Friday, we took Willow to the kennel then drove up to Logan.  What an amazingly beautiful fall.  I have been lucky enough to go out many times to see the leaves, and this weekend was awesome.  We went to a couple of food outlets just for the fun of it and tried some cheese at Gossner's then we went to the Goldfish factory.  Of course we bought snacks at those places, and we also went to the pajama outlet.  We drove to the Smithfield temple to see Davis and have lunch with him.  After visiting with him, we went to our hotel in Logan and got some dinner at Olive Garden.  Josh and Rachelle and their family came up to join us for some fun, and the first place we went was a ghost tour in downtown Logan.  We started at an old mansion and walked 3 other places and were told ghost stories.  I did get scared, but not because of the stories.  The guy telling one of the stories kept yelling "bang" and he scared me every time.  The stories themselves weren't too scary, but the old dark buildings we went to were creepy.  On Saturday we got up and went to the fall festival at the American Heritage Center.  There was also an annular eclipse Saturday morning.  I got the glasses to be able to see that, but it was pretty cloudy and it looked cool just with the clouds as a filter.  Once in a while the sun poked through and the eclipse could be seen.  We saw the animals and did the corn maze and ate some yummy snacks then went back to the hotel until dinner and the haunted forest that some of the kids did.  We filled up the whole weekend with fun, much better then spending our time at school and work.

Driving up the canyon to Logan
The Smithfield Temple
I creeped out a young child riding his bike taking a picture of these beautiful trees.  I'm sorry to that child, I just loved the trees.
We tried to make an appointment at the temple, but they were closed during fall break.  Bad timing Logan temple.
I got dressed first Friday morning, and Gator decided to match me.  I loved it, we looked like my favorite time of year.
Beginning the ghost tour at this mansion.
At the Heritage center, one of the breaks in the clouds where the eclipse was visible.
Seeing the eclipse with the clouds as a filter.
After all that pizza, Gator and Millie were the only ones with room left to celebrate national dessert day.

Mueller Park

Another fall day to add to the fall weekend.  Today we went to Mueller Park and it was probably the most beautiful colors I have ever seen.  We came over the hill and bam we saw fall, it took my breath away.  I love this tradition with my family.  We go up and have a hot dog roast and spend the afternoon outside enjoying the weather and the company.
