Movie Review

Friday night the girls had a girls night. It was a very nice break. Thankyou Krissy for planning it. We went to Krissy's house, and ate pizza and dessert. I almost got lost going home because of the fog, but I had a great time. Clark took the boys to see a movie while I was gone, and they haven't stopped talking about it. They went to see Hotel for Dogs. Clark said he even cried. All of them said it was a great movie! How about any of you, seen any good movies lately?

Well, everyone I have a new nephew and isn't he adorable. Mat and Andrea had their baby boy on Sunday January 18, 2009. They named him Parker James Jeppson. I want to go and see him so bad, but Ally has a cold right now and she has snot everywhere and I don't think they want that around their new baby. Congratulations Mat and Andrea and Connor.

Kinda Icky!!

These are the newest residents of the Stewart household. The boys wanted to get some Hermit Crabs. Years ago, Grace and Lu had some and Owen wouldn't even go into the girls' room. He would stand in the hallway and cry. So when he mentioned he wanted some of his own I was suprised. Although now I am the one that wants to stand in the hallway and cry, they are icky. Right now they are just down in the kitchen so everytime I walk by, they have moved and I freak out that (even though there is a lid on the cage) they are somewhere on the floor and I am going to step on them. I think I am going to have nightmares tonight of them getting out and being loose in my house. And the petstore said that if they are well taken care of they could live for 20+ years. If that is the case they will be going with one of the boys when they move out!!

Thanks dad for the visit and gifts!

The weather finally was in my dads favor and he was able to come up for Christmas. The kids were so excited to extend the holiday just a bit. It was fun to sit and visit and enjoy the company of family. Thanks for the visit dad. We are glad that Braylens surgery went well and he is home recovering.

She is walking!!

This is from yesterday and Ally took 5 steps. It was so cute!! She would walk a little and I would clap and say "yay". So she started doing that also. She would take one step than stop and clap, then take another step and stop and clap again. It was so cute. Today she would take about 8 to 10 steps. I am happy and sad at the same time. I can't keep her or the boys from growing up too fast!

SALAD SHOOTER

My family will appreciate this shout out to the "SALAD SHOOTER". Benny and Joon was one of my favorite movies growing up, and ya that was from the movie, but seriously I am in tears today over my beloved salad shooter. I recieved one for a gift at my wedding ( I don't remember who it was from, but if you are reading this thankyou) and I used it all the time. Well, it broke the other day and I didn't even have a cheese grater to replace it with so I had to run to the store to buy some grated cheese so I could finish dinner. I went to walmart later to replace this appliance, and was suprised to see they don't carry them anymore. I dragged myself to the utensils aisle and bought just a plain cheese grater. And now I can say, I don't know how to grate cheese by hand. I have grated 4 out of 5 fingers on my right hand (yes, it is still safe to eat at my house). So I will continue to be on the look out for a salad shooter, and just keep my other grater in the drawer for emergencies!!

I'm on a roll now!

I just have this funny picture to share. Ally was taking a bath and I stepped out from behind the door with my camera and called her name. She was a bit suprised, but I am even more suprised that I was able to catch it on camera. My new one is fast, so even if I don't know how to use it, at least it is fast!!

Dedication of a mom!

Okay first of all I haven't been on my blog forever. The new year has so far brought nothing exciting to my home! I had to grasp to get a post for today just because I wanted one in the new year. I know pretty sad. But, anyway I want to give props to all the mommies out there! I know what we go through to make our kids happy and smile. And I know when they are sad we are sad. Well, Davis has this little matchbox car that he loves. It is a whistle. He thinks it is pretty cool, but it didn't work for some time because it had a piece of plastic stuck in it. Let me just say, how do kids get things in something to get stuck, but mom's can't get them out to get them unstuck? He told me about this problem this morning as we were getting dressed for church. He was heartbroken, and as a mom nothing else mattered at that time and I had to make him happy again. So getting ready for church went out the window, and my new mission was to get a piece of plastic out of a little matchbox car. Yes, I know they cost .97 cents at Walmart, but I was determined now. So I got a safety pin because it was sharp and little, and my tweezers to pull at it and I set to work. What a pain! It wasn't coming out (so how did he get it in) but I wouldn't give up, now I was just mad. Well, through my determiantion as a mother I finally got this little piece of plastic out, oh and we made it to church on time too! Mom's are amazing!!
