When I'm not there
I love that my kids take pictures when I'm not there. I love it even more when they send me a picture. I usually steal them off of their social media, but once in a while they willingly send them.

Temple & Breakfast
Gator is winding down with her temple goal. I am so proud of her! It has been awesome going with her to all the Utah temples. She isn't going to stop though, she just keeps making appointments and inviting friends/cousins along with her. This morning we woke up early and went to the Ogden temple and then to Kneaders for breakfast. We all quite enjoy the all you can eat french toast.

Sara Evans
I used to listen to Sara Evans when I was younger, but I haven't for a while. I'll have to start again, even though I'm not usually a fan of many female singers, Sara Evans has some really good songs. She was at the Ed Kenley Amphitheater in Layton last night so Gator and I went with Rachelle, Millie, Carrie, and Andrea. Once the sun went down it was a fantastic evening. Waiting in line in the heat and sun was a bit brutal though, but once we got in and had shade and the show started we forgot about how bad we all smelled.

Totally crazy
Last year, through talking with a resident at the assisted living, we discovered that she has a daughter who had taught Owen and Davis in the first grade. It has been so fun getting to know this resident and reconnecting with her daughter, she remembers the boys fondly. Today I was at work and sitting at a table while she and two other residents ate lunch. We were just making small talk and I brought up how it was Owen and Kylee's first anniversary. I mentioned to this other resident that my son lives in Idaho and plays football. She got excited and asked me if I had ever heard of a Brant Boyer who played in the NFL, he was her grandson. I thought the name sounded a little familiar, but I did tell her that Owen had a fourth grade teacher named Mrs. Boyer. I felt deja vu as she said "yes, that is my daughter." I couldn't believe what I was hearing and I said you've got to be kidding me. Neither of these ladies knew they both have a daughter that had taught at Kanesville Elementary together for years, and who had both taught my son. What a crazy small world. We laughed and she called her daughter, I spoke with her for a minute. She has retired from teaching, but remembers Owen and told me how much she always loved him. We had a very fun time sitting at that table today laughing and talking of our families.
Happy 1st Anniversary
I can't believe it has been a year for Owen & Kylee. They are actually in Oregon at a friends wedding for their anniversary, but what a fun way to celebrate away for the weekend.
Photo not from this weekend, but like usual it is stolen from their social media.

I wish it rained everyday
This morning we woke up to a beautiful cloudy cool day. The rain started and I had such a hard time not wanting it to just rain all day long. I had told Gator I would take her and Brady swimming today. The only other time (Cowabunga) I have actually planned on swimming this summer it also rained. But it is just so hard to be mad at the rain. It all worked out, we enjoyed the rain all morning and then around 2:00 it cleared and we still went swimming. The pool was dead, I guess a rainy day is the day to go.

Party in Pocatello
I took Gator up to Owen and Kylee's on Thursday and she spent the weekend with them. Davis and Kin were supposed to go out of town so she had Joey as well. I stayed home because I had to work, and I was on Willow duty. They had fun hanging out, swimming, and going to a rodeo. I only got one freaking picture, which I wasn't very happy about, but Owen told me to be grateful for the one they did send.

Another wedding in July
Last year was Owen and Kylee, this year Collin and Cheyenne got married. We didn't get enough hanging out Monday anyway, so we just continued the party all day Tuesday.

4th of July
The 3 of them are all the same, 4th of July and Halloween are their favorite holidays. I don't love either one, but if I had to pick of course it would be Halloween because it is in the fall. July 4th is just way too hot, but it is always still a fun day with everyone. Owen and Kylee came down Sunday and stayed the night. Owen had football early this morning, so they didn't stay for fireworks. Davis and Kin came to the parade with us, and then we went out to lunch for Kin's birthday later in the week, then they went to a friends for the remainder of the day. It was fun this year with Dad and Dianne who are in town for Collin's wedding tomorrow, and Dave & Sheila also joined us for dinner and fireworks since they are in town for a vacation with Krissy & PJ. The food was good and the company better, happy 4th!
SO not a fan of fireworks, she'll have to get used to them.
