Halloween

Well, I'm mad at Davis.  He just doesn't even know me.  He went camping and 4 wheeling over the weekend.  Which is fine, I'm glad he had so much fun.  But I didn't even get a single picture, not one.  Owen and Kylee had a party to go to at a friends house, Gator had a party last night then went to Lagoon with her friends today, and Trick or Treating with them, and I was at work, then I came home and did homework.  Pretty lame on my part, but everyone else had a great holiday!

Weekends

We had a fun and busy weekend.  On Friday Gator and I went to Frightmares with Krissy & PJ.  Oh wait, we went to Frightmares after volleyball practice, because she made the school team!  I really don't know how much longer she will be playing sports, and that is totally okay.  I hope she has a fun season, and that they actually get a season.  So Lagoon.  My favorite time of year to go to Lagoon.
Saturday morning Davis went to take the ACT test.  He says he thinks he did pretty good.  It takes 6-8 weeks to get the scores back.  Owen was at Kylee's all day getting ready for a Halloween party.  Gator and I decided to go to Lagoon again.  Gator and Lainee got us to go in a Haunted House.  It was the middle of the day but still scared the crap out of me.
Kylee put these costumes together.  I think she did a great job.  Owen sent me this picture and I couldn't believe how much he looked like Mat.  It weirded me out because I never have seen it before.  I guess I should've been looking at them like Fred Flinstone to see the similarities!
On Sunday morning, I left everyone in bed and I went for a fall walk with Mat, Andrea, and Carrie.  It actually felt like winter, it was so cold.
The kids met me in Layton after the walk to meet their new dog.  I still don't love dogs, but I can totally appreciate a cute new puppy.  Joey felt threatened though, he demanded lots of love from Davis when we went back outside.
And Sunday evening we went to dinner at Krissy & PJ's where we ate dinner from a pumpkin, carved pumpkins, and had a Halloween treat.

Worst ending

Last week when I got myself all prepared for the last home football game?  Turns out even I didn't know what was coming today.  Not only do we not have any more home games,  but the season.....is completely over.  I've been heartbroken since hearing this news, and so angry.  They shut down Fremont football today and took us out of the playoffs.  I hate Covid.  Davis's senior year and this is how it ends.  Not only that, but his football playing days are done.  It takes my breath away to even think of that.  He's been playing since he was 8.  10 years of football, and here come the tears again.  I hate this.

At least there is Joey

I woke up this morning and I wanted to go for a walk to see more fall.  Everyone was still in bed, and I tried to get someone else to go with me, but no one wanted to go.  Well, except for Joey, he's always up for getting out of the house and going for an adventure.  He is worse than my boys though when it comes to taking pictures.  He just doesn't listen at all.

Halloween Havoc Derby

I'm not exactly sure what made us decide to go to our first demolition derby a few years ago, but we love them.  They are pretty "Redneck", but it is my guilty pleasure I guess.  With Covid, the Weber County fair didn't happen this year, so there was no derby.  I was bummed, but then I started seeing this Halloween Havoc derby advertised.  I splurged and bought tickets for us to go tonight.  Speaking of Redneck, the derby tonight turned into a wedding.  Seriously, I thought they were kidding, but a couple really got married right out in the dirt arena.  They had met at a derby a few years ago, and they surprised her dad by getting married.  I couldn't believe it, but they had a beautiful sunset at least.  They drove around the arena in a trashed derby car, and then the derby continued on with cars crashing, parts flying, and fires starting.

They are mighty proud of their mustaches.
It's beanie and blanket weather!!

The Zoo

I woke up feeling a little bummed this morning because it's fall break and I had no plans.  Owen asked me if I wanted to go to the zoo, and I wanted to take advantage of him wanting to hang out so we went to the zoo.  We had a great day.  It was perfect fall weather, the animals were out enjoying the day, and I loved spending the day with my kids.  We dropped off Gator and Sydney at Lagoon, Owen met up with Kylee for a haunted house, Davis went to a friends house, and I just got done with my class for the night, so I'm very happy that we all got to spend such a good afternoon together.

Senior Night

We played tonight this week because of fall break.  Tonight was senior night and our last season game.  I had myself all prepared for an emotional night because this was the last football game I would attend at Fremont that I had a player.  It's been six years, and I love football season.  I made it through with no tears, but Owen told me later that we will have a playoff game home next week.  I thought we'd be away, I have to go through all the emotions again next week.  I can't guarantee there will not be tears next week.  Tonight was ugly, but Fremont did win.  I don't know how they pulled it off, but good thing the game ended when it did because we were so tired and off there is no way we could've held off the other team any longer.  We lucked out on this one.

Last week they had a senior mom picture taken and they gave that to the boys tonight along with a blanket.  I thought that was pretty cool of them to do for the seniors this year.
