Crazy, busy, scarey, smelly, fun!!

We took another trip up to Boise this weekend, to return the trailer to our friends that we borrowed to get the motorcycle home last time. And also to have a couple of more days to do some things that we didn't get to do before. After a very late night and NO sleep because of sick kids (Davis over ate and that is all the details I will go into on that one and Ally had the croup)we barely survived our day. It started out going to Boise State University. This is Owens second choice of colleges. I don't really know his reason except for he wants to play on the "smurf turf". (The football field is Blue). We wanted to go look around, but man they keep that football field so locked up that all we got to see was a little tiny corner of the field, but that made the boys happy.

Ally was not so excited, she was too busy catching up on sleep lost the night before. Poor girl just isn't feeling so great.

Then we were on to our next stop. Another "Man Vs. Food" location. And no, no one attempted this food challenge. The host of the show, Adam Richman, ate a pizza with 18 habanero peppers on it. It was a fun place called Flying Pie Pizzeria. And I have to say it was the BEST pizza I have ever eaten. And that is alot coming from me, because I am not that big of a pizza fan, but oh man this place was yummy.

And also look at this way cool bathroom. This was the ladies room. And even though I just had to sneek a peek of the mens room also, I didn't take the time to snap any pictures. But it was painted all up in a Pirate theme. What a very fun restaurant. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone coming up to Boise, yes for more than just the cool bathrooms!

With very full tummies, although Davis was very careful not to get too full, we drove out to our friends house. And the kids were so excited to go fishing. To get to Chads "spot" we had to wade across the river, which in itself was quite the adventure. It got pretty deep in spots......

but it was very worth it.

After numerous fishing trips this year with Davis, he finally caught a fish. And what a cute little fish it was it wasn't much bigger than a sardine, but look at that smile!!
And now on to the scarey part of our day. We went tubing down Indian Creek. Now I went tubing a few times when I was little, but I don't ever remember being scared like this. Maybe because this time I had my own 3 children with me. Well, we loaded the tubes and everyone was so excited, but it didn't take long before I had all 3 kids crying and screaming to get out. At one point Davis, Ally and I got seperated from everyone else and I kidna freaked out, but then we came upon Owen who was NOT happy at all. Clark came along a bit later, and tied Owen to my raft. So I had all my kids with me and we got ahead of the guys by quite aways. Well, we got to a pretty rough spot in the river, and went over a fall (and I swear at the time it could have been a 20 ft. waterfall)!!! It was scarey. We got stuck on a rock, and the water was rushing around us, and the raft was filling with water. I had all three kids crying and screaming and I was crying and screaming. What was I going to do?!? Chad came up and tried to kick us loose, but the current pushed him right on by. Clark came up and jumped off his tube, which in hindsight probably wasn't too smart, but it was the only thing that got us off the rock. Oh my heck, I was scared! After that I couldn't get Ally calmed down and the boys wanted to get out, so we got to a point where we could climb out and Chad and Clark went on ahead and came back in the car to get us later. I am very grateful to say that we are all back to the hotel safe and sound. I don't think we will be doing that again anytime soon.

Obviously these pictures were taken before our tramatic situation, we were all still smiling, and were dry. Although now, later, the boys say they had a great time, me I am not quite ready to admit that yet.

Just because they can't get enough!!

I wonder if my kids will ever get sick of swimming. I am thinking no. We have been every day this week, sometimes 2 or 3 times a day. I am all swam out though so today it was just them and their cousins. I will admit though it is nice for the fact that it makes for some very tired kids who are ready to go to bed by 8:00. We are having a fantastic {busy} summer!

This picture will be great for future use. You look great Owen & Collin

I love standing at the end of the slip n slide. You get the cutest pictures of facial expressions. (Thanks Rachelle for this one!!)

Weekend Wrap-up (lots of pics sorry)

We had a busy but fun Fathers Day weekend. We are so blessed to have such fantastic families to surround ourselves with. Saturday we spent the day up to mom and Colins property. It was so much warmer this time. I didn't clog my washing machine with mud.

Gosh!! Look at these cute girlies!

Shooting BB guns

These kids were just as entertained chasing eachother on the trailer as they were riding the 4 wheelers. I don't know how I was lucky enough to get them to sit for a picture.

This is pretty much the only time we saw these three. The rest of the day they were off riding somewhere.

Grace and all her little friends!

Me taking the little kids out for a ride. This is my speed when it comes to the 4 wheelers, I take the little people, so I can go easy and slow.

Good thing this little 4 wheeler was broken, or Blake and Ally would've have been out causing tons of trouble!

Just starting the day

And tonight we had a BBQ at our house. I love my big yard for get togethers like this.

Ally and Jean playing on the slide. These two were so funny, I am sure they knew what they were talking about and laughing about even if no one else did!

The whole Stewart group of grandkids!

I am not sure who won this football game, but it was fun to watch.

Marshmellows are a prerequisite to BBQ's at our house

This seesaw has provided tons of entertainment for the kids and the adults too!

RiDiNg FoR tReAtS!!!

I finally got myself a bike, I have always wanted one to go on rides with the kids. Ally loves going for bike rides, she just sits back there and "talks" to me the whole time. I assume she is talking about what she is seeing, but only she really knows. The boys have always loved going to the snow cone stand for a treat. So last night we rode up there which was great exercise, but when you follow the ride with a sugary treat it is no longer considered exercise, just a fun evening with my kids!!

Silly Girl

Ally fights me tooth and nail when I put her down for a nap or bed at night time. Like all kids she just doesn't want to miss out on anything. So my bed was the last place that I thought to look when I "lost" her today. I was outside calling her name looking in the garage on the swingset, downstairs, in Owens room ( she loves to go in there when no one is looking and mess things up), the bathroom, the kitchen I looked everywhere and I was getting nervous. She had been wanting to go on a bike ride, so I had terrible thoughts of her going outside and riding down the street and out on 4000 So. (the road I live by that is a one lane highway and 55mph. I hate this road)! I came in the house to hear Owen laughing and calling my name. He had gone up to my room, and look at how sweet this little darling looks. I can't believe she just came up here and went to sleep. She sure scared me!

Lagoon X 2

We've spent the last two days playing at Lagoon. On Tuesday we swam for a few hours. It really has not been warm enough yet this summer to swim in Lagoons water, but we make do. I love to watch my kids with their cousins. They all get along great and have so much fun. It makes it easy for me to have a relaxing day amidst all the chaos of Lagoon.

And today we went to ride rides. We spend so much time swimming in the summer, that my kids miss the rides. So some days we go just to do the rides. And today was a perfect day for that. It was so not busy, I was shocked. So the mild summer is not so good for swimming, but great for rides. You can't have it all I guess. Actually I for one, have loved the weather so far. I am not one for high temps, and I enjoy the rain so I have been loving this mild summer. According to the weather reports summer is on it's way though.
