Family Time!

Yesterday we had a fun family day! We took the front runner down to the Gateway and spent the day at the Clark Planetarium. We had never been on the train or to the Planetarium, so the kids were so excited. Davis got himself so excited that he got himself sick. But no worries, it was just one episode and he was just fine and off and running again! There are some cute Christmas shows that are worth going to see at the Planetarium. Santa vs. the snowman (in 3D) and another called the Light Before Christmas. And there are so many interesting things to see and do there. We will definitely be visiting there again soon.

Bring on Christmas!

Now it can be Christmas, Kaysville has had their light parade. We love this tradition. Thanks to all our family who came out and went to this with us tonight. We love being with our family, it makes the Holidays and everyday so much fun!! We are doing our tradition as a family again, of going to as many light displays as we can, so please anyone come and join us. And if you know of a great display let me know and we would love to go and see it!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a great Thanksgiving, and we hope it was an enjoyable day for everyone. We were able to join Clarks family at his aunt and uncles house in Orem. They have a nice quiet family. It is just the two of them and their two grown children. A little well behaved family, and then come all the Stewarts. I think we left them all in shock and very tired. And now Ally is passed out in her bed and Clark is watching football. Sorry Ryan and Christine. They ended up with the boys over at their house for a "late night". After a long day, I am sure that their energy tanks are still overflowing. Kids just seem to work that way.

PS Ally got into some makeup and painted her face with lipstick. I am sure she ate a good part of it, she should be fine right? I won't let her wear makeup for a long time.

Lunch with grandma

I changed Ally's hairdo today. I was so tired of the same one little ponytail on top of her head. She looks like pebbles everyday. So today we advanced to pigtails. It was very funny. I think she had more ribbon in her hair than she actually has hair. They looked like little pom poms on top of her head. And it didn't matter anyway because she still didn't leave them in. She waits just long enough for her hair to dry, so when she takes it all out than her hair is sticking up everywhere. By the end of the day we just leave it that way and she just has funny hair!

My mom had to have surgery on her leg again. The rod broke so they had to take that one out and put another one in. She is pretty much home bound for the next few weeks, so we went and had lunch with her today. She looks really good, but just got tired pretty fast. And she says her leg doesn't feel too bad. So we ate lunch from Subway picnic style on her front room floor.

Eden and Dallin were so funny. They were watching the movie Up, and they were sitting glued to the TV. Nothing we did could break their attention. The only movement coming from them was sucking out of the straws to drink their juice.

Party at Chuck e cheese

After the boys had a fantastic visit at the dentist (yea still no cavitites ever for them) we were invited to celebrate Jakes birthday with him at Chuck e cheese. That place gets louder and busier every time I go. But keeping with the fashion of the joint, the kids had a blast. Thanks for the fun Jake and Happy Birthday!!

Slap Happy!

Last night Ally was up sick, and tonight it is Davis who is sick. So I am very tired, and slap happy. But man I love this Elf yourself thing. I look forward to it every year. So forgive me, but this is what happens when you are up all night with a sick little boy!

4th grade field trip

I went on a field trip with Owens class this week. I have been so busy volunteering at the school this last week, there has been so much going on. I wonder if they ever really do school work anymore. We went up to the Enviromental Center. Whew, I was worn out chasing 15+ nine year olds around the mountains. It was a great time though. We did frisbee golf, a GPS scavenger hunt, archery, rock climbing and ping pong. I didn't quite see how ping pong fit in with the whole theme of "nature activities", but it was very entertaining anyway. It definitely was not a traditional game of ping pong! I love having the opportunity to volunteer at my kids school so much. And I love this age, that they still want me around and they are not embarrassed to give their mom a hug in front of their friends. And last night was parent teacher conference. I am so proud of my boys. They are great students. Way to go Owen and Davis!!

Less teeth and more sports!

Luckily my kids don't have less teeth because of their sports, they have a mean enough mom that takes care of that job! Like I said all Davis' teeth are loose at the same time, he is losing one a day just about. And his smile is just getting cuter and funnier. (Ignore the brownie in his mouth sorry about that).

We are done with soccer and football and the boys have moved on to basketball. Davis plays so hard, he just zips up and down the court at full speed! He has so much energy, and he works so hard at putting that into his game.

Owen is a very focused athlete. He gets very into the game and that brings on a lot of emotion. By the end of the game he is so exhausted, but he doesn't let that show until the game is over.

And tonight the city hosted a banquet for Owens football team. We had a dinner and all the boys got trophies. They had a great season!

And I will just throw in a cute picture of Ally. She is a great cheerleader for her brothers and goes to all their events and she screams the loudest too!!

I need to shop more often

We haven't had a kitchen table for a long while, but the time came that we no longer fit around the bar to eat dinner. Ally insists on sitting where we do and wanted nothing to do with her highchair. So we went and bought a new kitchen table set. It looks really nice and having a nice piece of furniture in my home gave me the cleaning bug. I even cleaned behind and under the fridge and stove and oiled all the cabinets. So I decided that I need to shop more often, than I will clean more. My family room is looking pretty shabby. We could use a new couch, but not without new paint and carpet, and a good dusting!! A pretty expensive way to get a clean house. So I guess it will be awhile until I have a clean family room.

Halloween Happenings

It was a pretty mellow day yesterday as far as holidays go. Uusally we are so busy trying to fit everything in, that we run ourselves ragged. That is what happens when the family is so big and we want to see everyone and do everything. After Davis' early morning basketball game we decided to go and let the kids play at Lagoon. What a great day there. It wasn't too cold, and it wasn't busy at all. After Lagoon we went and visited with mom and Colin and than up to Clark's parents house. The kids had a great time with cousins and got plenty of candy of which they hardly have any left!

We tried holding her bag for her, but she wouldn't let anyone else touch it! And oh the fit she through when she would come back from the door with candy and we took it and put it in her bag.
