We had a little Halloween/birthday party for Dave yesterday in Kaysville. The party just kinda extended into this evening with dinner again and trick or treating. I'm glad we did it this way though, because Owen and Davis had plans with friends for Halloween and so I made them dress up last night for me, and we carved pumpkins as well. Tonight was all about the candy, and Gator and the cousins sure loaded up. And on the way home from Halloween, I was listening to Christmas music. I honestly could listen to Christmas music all year long, it's my favorite, but I hold myself back, but for me the beginning of the "Holidays" is November 1st and out comes my Christmas music.

October wrap up
Our last time at Lagoon for this year. Every year, I think I am Lagooned out, but then the next season comes around and I miss the fun that we have and I buy season passes again. I wonder if the boys will ever step foot in that place again, I've ruined it for their future children. They will have to rely on their grandma to take them and show them what Lagoon is.
Rubbing in the fact that she didn't have school yesterday, but it was a teacher work day, so I still had to go to meetings. I was not amused with her being in my bed, lounging when I had to go to work.
Costume #1. Gator put together 3 different costumes this year, for her Halloween plans. Last night she went to the trunk or treat with a friend, and she was Supergirl. She came up with all her costumes on her own, and we barely spent a dime for any of them. I just had to buy a few little things to complete what she had in mind.
Frank turned 21, and we went to his birthday party at Pizza Pie Cafe. It was fun meeting his "girlfriend", one of the many he has. It is sure fun having a friend/neighbor like Frank!
Backwards day at school. I don't know how she did it, but she kept her shoes on the wrong feet the whole day.
And the game goes on. Fremont beat Pleasant Grove yesterday and will advance to round two of the playoffs. Next Friday they play Taylorsville. I will have one sad boy in my house when football season is done. I can't even think what next year will be like when it's his senior year and last year of playing football. I hope he can play some college ball! Football is still going for us, but basketball season is in full swing. Davis has been doing great, still playing for CBA. We found an amazing coach when we found this team. They may not win every game, but he sure is learning a lot and not just about basketball either. If Davis had to pick between football and basketball, basketball would win hands down. The only problem with basketball season is in goes right through ski season. Now that one is a hard choice for him, good thing he doesn't have to decided yet.
Owen seriously wanted me to buy him this stocking. Bigger stocking, bigger treats right? At least that is what he thought. If he had been born in December when they send the newborn home in a Christmas Stocking, this would've been the perfect fit. And by the way, Christmas in the stores is just weirding me out already.
Gator has wanted me to play Battleship every night with her. She's so funny, the first time her strategy worked great until I found one ship then sunk them all because she had stacked them. But, she kept trying the same strategy until I finally had to stop the game and tell her to move her ships.

Fall Break
We didn't have school today, it is Fall Break. We got a really early start to avoid the crowd at the zoo, plus the kids all had plans in the afternoon, so I wanted my time with them. I gladly gave up a sleep in day, to go hang out with them, besides it is so much easier to get up early on a play day, then it is on a work day.
After the zoo, my kids and I went to get ice cream, then we headed to Liberty Park, which is my favorte park.

Joined by a few
Gator and I have been to Frightmares, and Davis has been quite a few times with friends, but last night we finally made it together. And it was so much fun. Frank, Collin, and Tyler joined us as well as a friend from work and one of our students found us and hung out with us for a bit. The kids talked Rachel and I into doing 2 haunted houses. They weren't too terribly scary, just a lot of yelling and blood. I guess it's my old age, that or I face scarier things at work. Owen said he was no longer going out in public with me, after being mistaken for my husband twice. A lady asked Gator if Owen and I were her parents, and Owen's jaw dropped to the ground. I liked the ladies response as she said she thought that cause I looked so young. Nice try lady. And the other was a girl that Collin knows from school, she asked him if we were his mom and dad. Collin about died as he explained who we were. To us his size is normal, but I guess it isn't so normal to everyone else. Check out this picture, very soon, Davis will be taller than me as well. At 6 feet tall, I'm not used to being the short one, but it's happening.

Miscellaneous
Owen got asked to Sadies. She gave him chicken wings, of course he was going to say yes when food was involved in the asking.
Davis made concert choir at school this year. Not many 8th graders make this choir. The school had their first concert of the year this week, and this group sounds awesome. Her bedtime routine includes putting on her bright red lipstick. A girl has to always look her best, even while sleeping.
Gator and I went to Owens game this week and watched them win the region championship! What a great group of boys, Owen has loved every second of the season. Playoffs here come the Silverwolves!
