What happened?

I'm in a bit of a sentimental mood this morning.  I took Owen to school and looked over at him sitting next to me and realized it would time to start shaving soon, his upper lip is getting pretty hairy.  Davis just turned 11 and Ally is counting down the days till she is 6.  What happened to the little kids in this picture?!?!?

An early spring

Hot Dogs and Smores

All this spring weather we've been having got the kids and I hungry for a hot dog roast and some smores.  It was a great evening together, simple and easy, but lots of fun.

Dual Personality

Last night, I was both the tooth fairy and cupid.  Ally lost another tooth, and I always leave my kids a treat for Valentines Day.

District Champions

Rocky Mountain had a great season and it ended today winning the district championship.  Owen has loved this team and coaches, they've been great for Owen and he has had an awesome season!

The Party

The birthday week ended tonight with a party with Davis's friends.  I was hoping for snow, but it just isn't happening this year, so instead they played football and night games.  Who would've thought at the beginning of February, Davis would be having an outside birthday party.  I'm still waiting for the big snow storm this winter.

Guys night/Girls night

For Davis's birthday, Owen wanted to take him to a Jazz game.  Thus in Ally's head the idea of a guys night and girls night was born.  So the boys hopped on Front Runner and spent the evening cheering for the Jazz.  Thank goodness, one of Owen's coaches works at the arena, he usually turns their $4 dollar seats into some much better seats.
Gator saw a commercial on TV this morning for a sing a long Frozen movie.  She didn't need to hear anything else, and she had our whole evening planned.  There were only 2 other people in the theater (and that was a teacher of Davis's and her daughter), so Gator was able to sing as loud as she wanted and recite the whole movie line for line.

11 years old!

No possible way this cute little boy is 11 years old now.  He is such a great kid!  I love this little man so much!!  We had a fun day celebrating Davis, and he deserves all the celebration he gets for his birthday.
Gator had fun decorating his room with me.  She blew up all the balloons, which is great, because I get so dizzy.  I love decorating the kids' room for their birthday's .  I hope it helps to make them feel special on their day!
Davis's all time favorite food besides pasta is Subway sandwiches.  I had planned to leave work for an hour and meet him at school for a lunch date.   He didn't catch on when I didn't make him a lunch this morning even though he refuses to eat school lunch most days.  I loved seeing his dimple when he came around the corner and saw Owen and I there with balloons and a Subway lunch, I couldn't help but smile along with him.
Owen was happy to skip 5th period and go back to elementary school.  All his teachers died when they saw him and he loved all the attention.  He sat at the table and entertained all of Davis's friends and then went out to recess with all of them.  But the trip in the past ended and he had to go back to the present, he was due in science class.

Birthday's and Bubble Gum

We take a time out from Davis's birthday for about 5 minutes to celebrate National Bubble Gum Day.  This morning I knew the day would be crazy, and we wouldn't all be home together till about 11PM.  Too late to celebrate the holiday, so we had to wake up Gator and have a little early morning fun before Owen went to school.

Super Bowl

Super Bowl Sunday.  Davis was the only one whose team made it to the big game. He is a fan of the Seattle Seahawks.  Owen and I were just cheering for the team opposite the Bronco's.  We are NOT Bronco fans in this house at all.   Although after watching that game, I may be the newest Seahawks fan.
We sang Happy Birthday to Davis.  What a great weekend for a birthday, there is always a big party going on for Davis, thanks to the Super Bowl.
The girls weren't too excited with the game, so they hung out in the living room watching Frozen.  That or making a mess in the toy room.

Ice Cream for Breakfast

The first Saturday in February is National Ice Cream for Breakfast Day.  Who ever came up with this holiday was just brilliant!
