Fishing

I'm still not sure where the kids got their enjoyment for fishing, but we've started going often again now that it's spring.  Gator is on the look out for those baby ducks that will start swimming around.
It was a slow fishing night, and Davis began trying different ways of casting his line.
"Darn it" no fish, walking back to the car empty handed.
Gator doesn't believe me whenever I tell her she has freckles, but have you ever seen a cuter freckled nose then this?!?

Celebrating Easter

Tonight we went to Grandma and Grandpa Jones' for an Easter dinner/hunt.  Owen and Ally enjoyed playing with their cousins.  Davis spent his time playing with Gary's dog, which is what he usually does if Gary brings his dog around.

St Patricks

Yesterday was so busy that I figured we would do St. Patrick's Day today, but it turns out today wasn't any better and we were rushing to and from places, but we were able to  barely squeeze in our Leprechaun scavenger hunt.  Life just doesn't slow down, I complain about the craziness, but I'm grateful my kids are healthy and active.
I even made corned beef and cabbage.....it wasn't a huge hit.  Davis like the roast, but the veggies were too soggy.  Owen or Ally didn't like any of it, neither did I.  I was so disappointed.

Antelope Island

Well, we finally gave up on waiting for winter so we just decided to admit defeat for this year and admit that spring is here and enjoy the nice weather before it gets way too hot which will probably come early this year since we just skipped right over winter.  It was a beautiful day to spend outside, and we had a great time together out at antelope island.  Just a couple years ago, we had never been out there and now it is one of our favorite places to go play and enjoy the day together.

Once in awhile

Once in a while, I feel crafty.  It isn't very often and it doesn't last long at all, but sometimes  I get a wild hair and want to craft and once in a great while something cute is the end result.

Spring Ahead

I hate to lose that hour of sleep, but I sure love getting an extra hour of daylight.  And I love that daylight savings is on a Sunday, especially when we have early church.  I planned for this fun afternoon, and even though I had tired kids, we still had a great afternoon playing outside enjoying the extra daylight!

7 years old

I know it sounds cliché, but I honestly can't believe Gator is 7.  She has grown up the fastest of all my kids.  The Lord knew what he was doing with this one, because she sure took her sweet time  getting here, but she came at the perfect time for her and us.  She is the perfect caboose of our family and we wish her the happiest of birthdays.  We had so much fun celebrating Gator today, she had just about every moment planned out, but I was able to get a few surprises in without her knowing.  She woke up and had her favorite breakfast...cinnamon rolls.  I do think she could live on cinnamon rolls if it were possible.  I took the afternoon off work and went and ate McDonalds with her at school.  First graders are so cute!  After everyone got home, we went to Salt Lake.  Gator knew exactly where we were going for weeks ahead of time.  She chose build a bear and spent a long time making the perfect friend.  After dinner at Applebees, we went to Disney on Ice.  It was a great show, they did amazing.  I was a little worried about the boys at Disney on Ice, but loved it as well.  Definitely a very happy 7th birthday for this cute, special, happy, loved little girl.
