Pineview weekend

We are just getting back from another weekend away.  We spent the last couple of days up in Huntsville with Stewarts having a family reunion and we had a great time.  Dave and Sheila rented a bed and breakfast called Snowberry Inn.  We need a place like this in the family that we can go to whenever we want.  Although then we would have to make our own breakfast every morning instead of having bacon, eggs, French toast, pancakes, fresh fruit, and cereal made for us.  We arrived on Friday afternoon and the kids just dove right in and never stopped until we left this morning.  Most were too busy to even sleep, they couldn't waste any time.  We went to dinner at Huntsville Barbeque Friday evening.  That was  such a fun place.  We sat outside at picnic tables and listened to a band while we ate yummy food.  The kids got to run around on the grass and it was a perfect evening.
After dinner, we went back to the Inn and played yard games.  It was nice and cool and a fun stress free environment and I just didn't want the evening to end.  We moved inside and played games in there for a little bit, but eventually we did need to take a little bit of a nap to prepare for a fun packed Saturday.
Saturday was a full day, after a yummy breakfast, we went for a hike.  We had no idea what kind of hike it was when we saw the sign, but it was beautiful and went right along pineview reservoir.  The trail actually led us right back to the Inn, so most of the littles ran across the road and they were back playing games and eating lunch, while the rest of us turned around and went back on the same trail back to the cars.
The weekend forecast was 70% of showers for Saturday afternoon.  Well, we all hoped and prayed really hard that the storm would stay away because we were heading for the lake all afternoon.  Well, it worked and it was a beautiful sunny afternoon.  Perfect for playing in the water!
After swimming and dinner, we set up a tournament.  The games were horseshoes, Bocce, and ladder golf.  We ran out of daylight and horseshoes had to be eliminated because we couldn't see, but on the lawn there was light from the cabin so we finished Bocce and ladder golf with the little guys Dallin and Jake taking the championship.  At first we had an age limit of at least 12 to be able to enter the tournament, but all the adults were so tired from the day we opened it up to a couple of little guys and they go and beat all of us.

Cannibal

Lagoon's new ride was supposed to open with the 2015 season, but took longer then expected and just is now opening.  Last night we went to Lagoon and rode the Cannibal.  It was exciting, and scary, and thrilling, and fun!!

The Rush

We've gone swimming at The Rush a couple times, and Owen and I played on the other side on a fieldtrip, but Davis and Gator hadn't ever done the other activities there.  They had a great time, I got a little sick of the black light.  Everything there is black with the glow in the dark, so by the time we went bowling, I said no to the glow in the dark bowling, I needed some light.
You don't need two hands to bowl.  Gator beat all of us with her high score of 99.  Ya, it was it bad day at the bowling alley for the rest of us.

Iceberg got us again

I hadn't planned on a trip to Iceberg for milkshakes today, but like I said when Owen got hurt, that place was put next door to Tanner Clinic on purpose.  I took the kids to training this morning, and the hour was over so I was there to pick them up.  My phone rang about the same time as I saw the kids walking toward me, it was Emmett (their trainer) telling me Gator had fallen and hurt her arm.  She was very upset and in pain.  The boys took good care of her once we got home and got her comfortable in bed with a movie and ice while I called the doctor.  I almost didn't take her because Ryan was all booked today, and I didn't want to deal with urgent care.  While we were there waiting in line to be seen, Ryan called me and told us to come over to his office and he would get her right in.  What an awesome uncle/doctor.  I always feel better, when Ryan is there when we go in.  We went right into xray, and the first one they took it showed a fracture.  Gator was so cute though, just smiling through it all, and telling everyone thank you.
2 days in a splint, then she'll get her hard cast on Wednesday. This girl likes to swim,  color, draw, and to write me love notes,  how will she survive this 4-6 weeks with her right hand in a cast?
See the milkshake?  She knows how to work me too.  And she is a girl after my own heart, her favorite flavor is my favorite flavor.  Grasshopper.

Family Day

When we take the trip down to Toquerville, Clark doesn't usually go.  He stays here and works while we go and visit with my dad.  He was able to come down for the party, but we had still been gone the whole week prior, so when we get home we need a family day.  We had fun going and getting lunch, then taking the kids to see Inside Out.  Everyone enjoyed that movie, it is a challenge these days to go see a movie that everyone agrees on.  And it is a bonus when everyone is happy with the choice!

90

90 years old, amazing.  And just yesterday she was out kayaking on the reservoir.  My grandma is an active and fun lady, and she doesn't show emotion very often, but today she was touched that we were all there to celebrate her, and her amazing 90 years!
Clark rode down with Mat this morning and was able to attend my grandma's birthday party.
This guy entertained all the little kids for quite some time.  There are snakes and lizards all over and the kids love to catch them.

My dad and his siblings with grandma.
A stop at Swig on our way out of Toquerville heading home.
