Easter

I miss going to church every week.  It is very cool that we can still have the sacrament in our homes ,and do a little sacrament meeting, but it's just different.  And I really miss going to the temple.  I'm afraid things won't open back up until the beginning of May at the soonest.  So for Easter yesterday, we got dressed in our nice clothes and went to walk around the temple grounds.  We have been going over to Krissy and PJ's for church, so I really wanted to still go yesterday and have an Easter lesson.  It was a nice day, we had church, then went to the cemetery, and back to their house for a little egg hunt and dinner.  When we are allowed I'm going to plan another big family dinner at a park because I miss everyone and I am getting pretty bummed with life right now.  Everything is just so strange and out of sorts.  I'm grateful we had a nice Easter Sunday though, even if we had to bend a few rules.

Broke the rules

It's almost impossible to stay home and not go out and do something.  Everything is still closed so we got lucky today when Krissy and PJ called us and said their bishop invited them over to swim.  I thought hey if it's the bishop doing the inviting, it would be okay to go.  The boys took Dallin fishing this morning, and they both left to see friends that they haven't seen in about a month.  I guess we'll feel good that everything we did today was outside.  It wasn't all that warm, but the pool was nice and heated and the kids had a great time!

Missing her friends

Social distancing is really hard for a social butterfly like Gator.  She loves her friends and she misses them so badly right now.  She'll talk to them on the phone or Google Hangouts, but she just wants to go back to school and being able to hang out.   Yesterday, I drove her all over to deliver a missing you treat to her friends and cousins.  Most of them she just left on the doorstep or hurried and rang the doorbell and stepped down to the grass just so she could see their faces.  But, there were a few hugs given and lots of smiles shared. 

 Davis started a job.  He is working full time framing.  Yesterday he walked in the door with his tool belt on and his lunchbox over his shoulder and he looked like such a man.  I wanted a "working" picture, but he refuses, but Joey is sure happy to see him when he comes home.  And Davis likes to tease that he is the only one working supporting this household right now. 

Quarantine Crew

Now that we are home, we need to find ways to entertain ourselves.  Monday we just sat around all day, and that drove us all crazy.  Tuesday we went out hiking with Joey, and that was enough I guess to drive Davis crazy because he started a new job today.  I should probably go get myself a job, but there isn't a whole lot open.   Davis is working a construction job, he wants to get his truck fixed.  I may go start swinging hammers soon too because I'm going nuts.  

Time to go home

We hadn't planned on staying in Milford for three weeks, it just kinda happened.  Milford was a good place to lay low and stay home.  But things are getting a little more strict and I think we need to head home before we won't be allowed to drive up north.  We watched conference today, and we will watch the Sunday sessions tomorrow before we go home.  Tomorrow will be really neat, President Nelson announced a Solemn Assembly for us all to take a part in after the morning session.  It was really strange watching conference with an empty conference center.  It was actually recorded in just a small room with only the speakers there.  All the choir songs were prerecorded.  And President Nelson also announced a new symbol for the church. 

Last night we went back up to the water tank on the hill.  It is an awesome place to watch the sunset.  Joey also likes it up there so he can run around a lot.  He is going to have a hard time going home tomorrow and being in the apartment so much. 

And one more drive before we go home.  We went out to Frisco and the kilns.  Owen and Kylee wanted some pictures taken and he wanted to show Kylee some more "sights" of Milford.  Kinda crazy how a town like Milford really has grown on me.  I've been coming down here for years, and never really liked it, but this 3 weeks has been really fun and I've loved relaxing and hanging out so much with my kids.  When life goes back to normal, I will miss my kids.  It has been awesome slowing down and being together.  

A visitor!

Owen and I went home for one quick day.  He had physical therapy, and I was in desperate need of a haircut.  We broke the rules and brought back a visitor with us.  Kylee wanted to come down and visit Milford.   Today we took her to the creamery for ice cream (the new rule there is they can serve it in a bowl with a lid, and you cannot open it until you get to your car).  On the drive from Beaver back to Milford, we stopped by the Greenville cemetery and visited Grandma and Grandpa Stewarts grave.  I only met grandpa Stewart once before he passed away.  I had no idea his middle name was Owen until his funeral while I was reading the program.  At that moment, I decided I loved the name Owen, and I knew that would be my first sons name.   We went out to see the cows.  Kylee loves cows and wanted to feed the calves, but Mike has found another cow that lost her calf, so he brought her in to start feeding the calves.  Seems Gator is out of a job.  Another calf has been born, so the calving barn is full of baby cows.  It snowed again last night, so it was pretty cold today, but we still saw gophers and those poor gophers should've stayed in their holes.
