Little things

Gator and her friend Oakley are so funny.  They want to hang out so bad, so they do it on the computer.  Their favorite thing to do is to take turns picking something to draw.  They then have to randomly pick 2 or 3 colored pencils and draw the picture.  They will do this for hours.  I'm grateful for computers and good friends right now because this social distancing stinks.
Between the dumb mask and the umbrella, I felt so undercover.  After walking into the store and seeing plenty of people without the masks, we took ours right off.  I really hope they don't become law.
We usually take Joey on a long walk or to the park to play ball, but I was lazy and wanted to lay in my hammock.  He still got a good walk and little play time in the river.
Chris went with Owen to Milford this time.  These pictures definitely did not come from Owen, but Dave sent me a couple.

A rare sighting

It is pretty rare that the boys hang out with us these days.  Owen has been in Milford so much lately and Davis has his full time job so it is usually Gator, Joey, and I.  Well, tonight Davis joined us at the park.  I'm sure it was because we had Chinese for dinner, but that is okay it was still fun to hang out with him for a little bit.

Minimal effort

Between the wheels on her skates and Joey pulling her, Gator didn't have to put forth much effort on the walk today.   Joey is normally scared of water, but he was loving it today.  It was so funny, him and Gator were a wet muddy mess by the time we were done.
Owen was home for one day today.  I'm kinda bummed because it was a therapy day so he was tired and sore all day and didn't want to do anything.  Kylee got him to go fishing though, what a cute little fish.

Weekend

I figured we have been hanging out with Krissy and her family, so we've all shared germs.  We may as well keep hanging out since we started.  Plus they are saving us from going crazy.  We also spent some time with Carrie this weekend.  They had to put Nalu down this morning and it is so sad.  We took them a flower yesterday and visited with Nalu, my kids are pretty sad about her too.  Tonight we stopped by to check on them and see how they were feeling.  I hate not being able to see everyone as often and I'm feeling pretty blue lately.  So this weekend was good.  Saturday we went exploring down in the hollow.  I've sledded down there, but I never knew it went back as far as it does.  It reminded me of my grandparents ravine in Farmington.  I spent so much time down there as a kid.  Krissy and PJ did some yard work, so we were outside helping and also Gator had a big bubble wand that we played with.  We just ended up staying for dinner and didn't leave until we were all exhausted just to come back for church and more hanging out on Sunday.  We drove up to Hardware Ranch, and there is still snow up there.  Gator and Lucy tried to sled down the hill on garbage bags.  It didn't work too well, but they had fun trying.

Quick fix first

It's been pretty rainy and cool this week, which I absolutely love, but it was nice to see the sun today.  Gator and I went out to the car to take Joey to the park, and I noticed a nail in my tire.  Car stuff stresses me out so bad.  Maybe with all our bad luck with cars, it has caused some PTSD.  But we put Joey back in the house promising him we would be back soon, and went to Big O and got it fixed.  And the best part, they didn't charge me anything.  We were back in no time to get Joey and go play at the park.  It was so funny watching Gator roll down the big hill and Joey chasing her.  These two really love each other.

Another strange thing

Dog birthday parties and crafts.  I need to go back to work and life.  But actually this door hanging is super cute.  I love it.

We'll just play with Joey and take pictures

Owen went back down to Milford to take Davis's truck to get repaired and help with some more house projects, and Davis is working full time so that leaves Gator, Joey and I to entertain ourselves.  Gator has many things she's doing.  Her Legos, friendship bracelets, Rainbow Loom, the hangers, homework, Google Hangouts with her friends for hours and hours, and she has been drawing alot.  One thing I love about spring is watching the water runoff.  I know that sounds weird, and water terrifies me, but I really like to look at the rivers and how full they get.  Today Gator, Joey, and I went and walked on the Ogden River Walkway.  The river wasn't very full yet, but it was a beautiful walk.  We walked around the Botanical Gardens as well, I don't know why we don't go down here more often.  That is a definite plus about living in Ogden now.  There are a ton of trails and parks.
I took this picture to show Davis this massive dog.  Look at the size of his head!  Now Davis wants a dog like this to name Spider.
We are really wearing this poor dog out.

Happy Birthday Joey

Last night we had a birthday party for Joey.  Social distancing is doing weird things to me I guess, I never saw myself having a birthday party for a dog.  He really has worked his way into my heart though.  I could totally do without the shedding, but other than that I think Joey is the perfect dog.
