Worn out

This is one worn out little girl.  She spent all morning cheering for her boys at football (well, ok playing on the park with her friends) and then she had her soccer game.  We came home and while I was making bread and doing laundry she just couldn't stay awake any longer.  I came up stairs to her sleeping at the kitchen counter.  I left her there thinking if she was sleeping sitting up, it wouldn't be a very long nap so she would still go to bed at night.  Well, I came back a few mintutes later and I guess sitting on the stool wasn't very comfortable anymore, she had climbed up on the counter.  She reminded me of some other times that I've gotten a good laugh at my kids and the ways they had fallen asleep.
We were at Stewarts one time and hadn't seen Owen for awhile.  Bahkey is always willing to take a nap with the grandkids.
Owen still falls asleep every night with his music playing.  And ever since "The Boys of Fall" came out, that is the song that he plays on repeat every single night.
Davis isn't much of a sleeper.  He gave us plenty of stress in that department when he was a baby, but as he has grown he has become a little bit better of a sleeper.  Although, he will never be getting a drivers license.  He used to crack us up in the power wheels jeep.  He would fall asleep while riding around the back yard.  Once in awhile, I just left him in there because he was actually taking a nap.  Every so often his foot would move over to the gas pedal and he would go cruising a bit till he ran into the fence or something.  With our big yard sometimes it took a while for him to run into something to stop him, and he would just go in circles.  But he slept through it all.
Ally on the other hand, never woke up for the first 2 months of her life.  She is a little older in this picture, but still was a good sleeper.  I wish that was one trait she didn't grow out of.  She slept so much then now she requires very little sleep.  I guess that is why sometimes she is just so worn out and can't help herself and she falls asleep on the kitchen counter.

7th and 4th

The first day of the new school year was today.  We fought some nerves, but other than that it was great.  The boys were excited about how well it went.  Davis is all alone at Kanesville Elementary now as Owen went on to Rocky Mountain Jr. High.  And Ally is back out in the front yard in her pajamas waving at Davis as he goes off on the bus.

3 kids, 3 games

We are into football AND soccer season full swing at our house.  Yesterday was the first games for all 3 of my kids.  The excitement level was at an all time high as we packed up the car and set off for Brigham City at 8:30.  Owen's team was first and what a way to start their season.  His team looked awesome and only allowed one first down.  They have played together for so long, they really know what they are doing.  Owen is excited because they got another big kid this year.  He is about 50 lbs. lighter than Owen, but compared to everyone else on the team he is big.  And they look mean standing out there on the line side by side.
After Owens team won, we got in the car with a very smelly sweaty Owen and drove to West Weber for the lifelong (4 years people....a long time) anticipated event of Gator.  All Gator has wanted to do was get pink cleats and play soccer.  Today she was living the dream as she laced her cleats and scored 2 goals.  Awesome job Gator.  She even still took the time to pose for a picture.
2 smelly sweaty kids later, we again got in the car and drove to Kaysville for Davis's game.  And by this time in the afternoon it was HOT, but this little team played awesome.  Oh my word, they looked so much older than their 9 years.  What talented little boys.  Their game was a little too tense for me.  I don't do well with close games, but they must've felt my pain cause they kicked into high gear and won 12 to 7.  What a great day for sports.  I am so proud of my kids.  They work hard and they have fun!!

My camera battery (much to everyones delight) died at the end of the 3rd game.  But it did good taking over 250 pictures.  I know, I know I may have a problem.  So anyway after Davis's game, we got back in the car to drive home for a birthday party for Owen.  He had 40+ kids running around in the backyard and swimming and roasting hotdogs.  I just didn't get any pictures, and no one cared but me.  Good games kids, and Owen HaPpY bIrThDaY!!

PS Owen is #55 (Which just happend to be his score 55 to 0).  And little man is #30.  Or as always look for the big boys with the big X's.  And Gator is #6.

Classic Waterslides

I am glad to be home alive tonight.  Keeping up with our summer list, we had to cross off Classic Waterslides.  Another place we have never been even though it is just 10 minutes away.  I'm not sure if I will go back though.  It's an old water park on a hillside in Riverdale.  It's small, with only 3 main slides, but my kids had a blast.  I thought I was gonna die.  And no I am not kidding.  I was on a slide with Owen, and I was terrified the whole 15 seconds it took us to come to the end.  The "minnow" was more my speed.  I could handle that one just fine.  Although I still chose to do that one without the mat.  I swear those mats were coated with grease or something.

Forgotten photos

I have a few photos that I was going to blog about, but I haven't been on my computer lately.

Ally and I love seeing a rainbow.  She was so excited this night.  The rainbow stretched clear across the sky.
All Ally has talked about for 2 years is playing soccer.  Well, last week her coach came over and introduced himself and handed her this uniform.  It has been laid out on her floor waiting for her first game this Saturday ever since.
Proof that sometimes these 2 do love eachother.
Free day at the Union Station Museum.  These kids love anything to do with trains, and learning about what their Bahkey does for a living.

Linemen appreciation

Owen's coach is always telling the team how important the linemen are to the game of football.  Linemen are often overlooked cause they don't score or run or carry the ball.  Well, tonight the linemen were the stars of the show.  Practice was ending and in pulls a limousine.  The kids were all intently listening to the coach, and I don't think they noticed.  But they sure noticed when they were told the limo was for them.  They got to pile in and go out to dinner.  Between the limo and The Pie, these linemen were very excited boys.  Owen is still smiling!

Visit from Grandma & Grandpa

Dad, Dianne & Carrick came up for a couple of days to visit.  Tuesday evening we met at the park, and Wednesday we spent the day at Lagoon.  Of course the boys had football, so they missed out on some of the fun, but thank you everyone for helping with Gator so she could be there while I was running the boys back and forth.  She didn't want to miss out on a single second of cousin time.  Thanks for the visit and the fun time!!
