Storms, Frightmares, Football, School Dances

Gators weekends are pretty much spent at Frightmares or football.  She is a fall loving girl that is for sure.  She just may take after me.  I like Halloween, but I am mostly just obsessed with fall.  Gator likes fall for football and all things spooky.
Gator went to work with me and did a craft with the residents.  Later as we were driving the van around and taking her home we stopped to get a drink and sat on the patio to enjoy the beautiful rainbow.
We were getting ready for bed, but a storm rolled in, so forget sleep, we went out to play in the puddles.
Two of her favorite things, cousins and football.  Fremont was playing Davis so Gator went to the game.  She wanted to sit with Eden though so she put on gold for the night and cheered for Fremont silently that night.
Cheering for Rocky with friends.
While Gator was at the football game, I went to the temple with my dad.  He was in town for a high school reunion.  We went to the temple then walked across the street to meet, Mat & Andrea and Davis & Kin at Farr's for ice cream.
I was making dinner the other night when I started to hear some thunder.  One of my favorite sounds.  Well, the stove got turned off and we went outside to enjoy the cloud burst and rainbow.
The school has a fall dance every year.  The theme this year was Wild West.  Gator and her friends went to the football game, the dance, and then watched a movie to end the  night.

Fall is for football

Today was a home game.  Eden and Dallin woke up early with us to go to the Pocatello Temple before the game.  We stopped at Owen & Kylee's to drop off Willow and throw some chicken in the crock pot for dinner then we went to the temple and to get some lunch before the game.  The Holt Arena has been getting an update, and it is looking very good.  They've got one side and the field done, I guess they will finish the other side after the season.  After the game we went back for dinner.  Kylee's mom and sister were there as well.  Owen took Eden, Gator, and Dallin out for a bit then we headed home.  I know I've said it before, but I am so happy that Owen is playing football at a close school.  It is so nice that it just takes us a short 1 1/2 hours to get to Pocatello.

Trying to find fall

I am getting desperate for fall.  I look forward to fall all year long, and it is such a short season that it is gone too quickly.  It is taking awhile to get here this year, and we are having this insane heat wave, but the forecast shows fall is on the way.  Today we had a family dinner up in the mountains.  Although I was hoping we would see some leaves starting to change, there wasn't much.  The company was good though so still worth it.

Two of her favorites

Going to the temple (she is just about done with her awesome goal), cousins, friends, and Halloween.  Just a couple of Gators favorite things.  She did all of it tonight.  We went to the temple, then I dropped her off at Lagoon after.  So in her book, a pretty great night!

When Gator took care of Karma's dogs a couple weeks ago, the deal was highlights for her hair.  She is pretty happy with how cute her hair turned out.

San Diego State

ISU went to San Diego this weekend.  I'm grateful the games are on TV, because it I can still watch the game when I can't travel, also it is just pretty cool to see Owen play on TV.
Kylee is patient during football season, and they don't see a whole lot of each other.  Owen is such a fair and rodeo junkie, I bought them tickets to the rodeo at the fair so they could hang out without it being about football.

Sunflowers

Tonight we went to the Sunflower festival.  So many beautiful sunflowers.  We picked up Blake from the train because he was going to the Fremont game with Gator and her friends, so he went with us even though I'm sure he didn't have a burning desire to go see sunflowers.  It's finally starting to feel like fall a little bit, and walking through the fields it looked like fall too.  We dropped Gator, Blake, and Charlyse off at Fremont, then Davis, Kin, and I went to get some dinner.  They decided to cash in their ice cream coupons as well.

Labor Day

It wasn't the beaches of Mexico, but Davis and Kin got home from their trip Saturday night and went with us to Lost Creek Reservoir today to go paddleboarding.  105 degrees in September, we'll just spend the day off in the water.  Or what is left of the water after the summer, all the water is pretty low. Still, it was a fun day.  Willow isn't too sure of the water just yet, but Joey sure had fun!

First Booth

Gator signed up for her first craft booth.  Gibson's Green Acres is having their Sunflower festival the next 2 weekends and she signed up for this first weekend to have a booth.  She did really well despite the LONG day and the HOT temperature.  Last night Maddy was with her, and today Eden went with her.  I am so proud of her for where she has taken this little hobby of hers.

I decided

I decided that I'm just going to not make a book for Davis and Kin for Christmas.  They are in Mexico this week. I've begged for pictures and he has sent me like 5 or 6.  Mexico, and I don't get pictures.  And it isn't just this trip, I ask him for pictures all the time, and yet in my journal it pretty much looks like I have 2 kids not 3.  So here is what I've got, and the one on the beach is because I took a screenshot when he facetimed me one evening.  It was totally forced.
