Some of this and some of that

Gator is having a great senior year so far and is doing all the senior things.  She had senior sunrise the other day, and of course she is going to the football games.  She says it is because she loves football, but I really know it is because she loves the social aspect and going with her friends.  

Last week, Brady & I went to the Fremont game to watch Zoie cheer.  Gator wanted to go to some of the West Field game first before she met us at Fremont then we went out for a milkshake.  Brady had been looking for Gator the whole evening, and was so happy once she finally got there.  

Gator went to Fremont for Zoie's birthday.  Brady & his mom brought Chick fil A in for lunch and I got some awesome phone calls at work from all my friends at Fremont.  

Davis & Kin are on vacation, so you know what that means.  Willow is happy to have Jake & Joey over for a few days.  

I took out Gators stitches.  We went to Ryan and he said they didn't look quite ready so he sent me home with the stuff to cut them out at home the next day.  It looks good, but she will definitely have a scar.  

Good thing we got those senior pictures done

Gator was at a friends house last night swimming and her friend called me "your daughter may or may not have cut her head open".  A trip to the ER and she got all stictched up.  Luckily she didn't lose consciousness in the pool, that would've been scary.  I guess she was practicing her flip turns and didn't realize there was a ledge around the pool.  She will have a scar now, good thing she already got her pictures done.  

Senior Pictures

 Gator wanted some of her senior pictures done at the sunflower field, so we went there last night and Katie came and did pictures.  She wants more done in the spring when she doesn't have braces anymore, but we did these ones early so we could get the sunflowers.  She is absolutly beautiful!  I can't believe I'm down to my last senior.  It sounds so cliche, but man time goes way too fast.  

Sunflower Field

 Tonight Gator and I went to the Sunflower Field and I have a fresh tin of Sunflowers to take to my classroom tomorrow.  I love all the fall things we do, because there is not a better time of year.  Now it just needs to cool down. 

Impromtu Hangout

 Owen & Kylee had been camping over the weekend and they were driving home over the divide so I said I'll buy you a treat if you stop at Davis's for a quick hi.  Gator and I went to Twisted Sugar because today is the first day of September and that mean their cookie of the month is Pumpkin Chocolate Chip, and drinks and we went to Davis's to visit with everyone for an hour.  The best hour of my 3 day weekend.  

Visitors

 Gator brought Zoie and Brady up to see my new classroom and bring me a shake.  I have a ton to do in the classroom, but I sat with them and talked about their first week of school.  I'll take a visit anyday over work.

Gator's senior year

 School started again today.  It is going to be an emotional one.  Gator started her senior year today.  How did we get to this point already?  It is a big year for me also, it is my first first day being the teacher, having my own classroom.  Here is to another school year full of hard work and memories!

At the beginning of the summer we ordered Gator's letterman jacket.  After the whole summer, it is finally done, now she just needs it to cool down so she can wear it.  

A beautiful evening

 I was home alone this evening.  Gator has been at Mat and Andrea's watching their dogs while they are in Georgia for Connor's graduation from boot camp.  I just got home from running errands and a beautiful storm blew over.  It was amazing.  

One more Lagoon day

 We went to Lagoon twice this week to go swimming one day and rides the other.  School is starting soon, I went back Wednesday with meetings and professional development days, but it's coming quick for the kids.  

We also had a fire over at Josh & Rachelle's before Blake moves to St George next week for school.  So much going on this time of year.  

Bear Lake

We went to Bear Lake yesterday for a quick trip.  I love going to Bear Lake, it is so pretty and just fun.  To be honest, I don't love camping, but I love everything about it.  I know weird.  I love hanging out with my family, the fire, the games, the food, and just being in the moment.  I can suck it up and sleep in the car for a night or two.  Everyone else slept in the tent, but I snore and I don't want to keep everyone up, so Steele and I slept in the truck.  We made hobo dinners and peach cobbler for dinner and dutch oven breakfast casserole this morning.  Last night we played games and hung out around the fire, and today we swam at the lake then went to Ephraim's for lunch. It was quick, but I am so happy everyone was able to make it and everything went perfect.  

I woke up early and took Steele and Jake for a walk.  It was beautiful with the sun coming up over the lake.  

Steele tried to be a good sport, but I don't think he was having very much fun.  

Gator bummed a ride from me

Lunch before everyone headed home.  I hate when fun times are over.  I am basically back to work this week with some meetings and trainings.  Bear Lake was a fun way to say see ya to summer.  Not hurry up fall I am ready.
