Looking Good

The elementary school collects box tops and soup labels.  A few times a year we have a store where the kids can trade in the box tops for a little toy or prize.  Well, since Davis lives on Campbells Chicken Noodle Soup, we get quite the stack of  soup labels.  And this is what Davis came home with the other day from the store.  Gross.

General Conference

I'd been thinking of ways I could get my kids to sit down and watch conference.   Each of those baskets has a word on the front and is filled with a treat.  Every time they hear the word they get that treat.  I found this idea on Pinterest and thought I would give it a try.  I mean candy always works for my kids!
It is working!
Although after 2 hours, they did get a little restless, but I was so happy with them.  And they asked questions, and talked about what they had listened to.  Yea for gummy worms and sugar sticks!
After conference we went to Grandma and Grandpa Jones for an Easter dinner and egg hunt.  Ally got her feelings hurt a little and was sad.  I watched as sweet cute Lucy went up to her.  I didn't hear what she said, but she knelt down by Ally and touched her face.  I seriously almost cried.  I love catching moments like this in a picture.
Clarks Aunt is a photographer.  She gets lambs every spring to use as props for her photo sessions.  They brought one of the cute lambs to the party tonight and the kids loved it, I doubt the lamb had fun though.
I got this picture of the boys before they ran off down to the hollow.  Whenever we go to grandma and grandpas house, that is where they go to spend their time.
Ally and her love for animals.  Actually it's her and Davis.  They love animals.   They didn't get it from me.  I'm just not a huge fan, but this lamb was very cute.  The other day, we took Ally to Cal Ranch so she could see the baby chicks and stuff.  She was in heaven.

Fishing with no fish

We invited others along with us today as we went fishing again.  Owen didn't go because he was with PJ, Chris and Ryan going to the Priesthood session of conference.  I am proud of him for going.  I suggested he may want to go, but I had plans to take Davis fishing.  He called PJ and made arrangements for him to be picked up and go to conference.  I have good kids.  Well, except for the one that chases her cousins with worms when we go fishing.
Poor Davis, after being so patient all afternoon, caught nothing. No one did, I didn't even see anything jumping.  I think the pond was empty.   It just wasn't the day for fishing.

Here and there

Davis always finds a way to hide from me and my obsession with pictures.  But here are a few from my phone that I just snap here or there.

Gator gets attached to her primary teachers.  Last year and this year, they have both been our neighbors so it is easy for her to ride her bike over or just cross the street to go visit.  She loves to go over and hold Quinncy the parrot.  (The snow melted and she thought it meant swimming outside, hence the swimsuit).
Owen, is rehydrating after an awesome basketball game.  I look at this picture and I'm amazed at the size of his hands.  They are huge!
He got sick of growing out his hair.  He's had longer hair for a couple of years now, but he just got it cut this week.  He looks so much older to me.
Owen got a little confident in this game as he came running off the court and all but grabbed the coaches clipboard and started telling him what they needed to do.
 Soccer started again....go Green Gators!!

Play day

Livia is a superhero in our home.  The kids love every second they get to spend with her.  She is so busy, but we take what we can get with her.  Davis county was on spring break this week, and she was free Friday so we snatched her up.  Ally knew of our plan, but wanted to surprise the boys so she tried to keep it a secret.  She kept saying she had nothing to do and would wink at me.
While the boys were at school, we had some girl time.  Nails and lunch at Zupas.
We picked up the boys from school and took Livia to Toads for a fun afternoon.  Ally really just wanted to kick the boys trash on the go karts, which Livia was able to do for her.  They led the whole pack laughing the whole way.

Owen looks just like Clark.  I've seen him make that face a million times.

Thank you Krispie Kreme

Krispie Kreme gives free donuts for A's on report cards.  I'm not a donut fan, but the kids think it is a pretty darn good deal.

Easter

The kids ran outside as soon as they woke up this morning to play with a few little things the "Easter Bunny" brought them.  Gator got a tee to prepare for Tball coming up and the boys got these little helicopter rubberband toy things.  They've had a blast shooting them all day.  Tomorrow we need to try to get up on the roof of the church to retrieve one.  Bet you can't guess which of the boys took his to church with him.  Yep, Davis.  And it will be him we try to heave up on the roof tomorrow.  After church, we went over to Stewarts.  The kids all had fun playing with the helicopters there.  And it was Eden who got to climb a tree and be lifted onto a roof to get them down.  Those things shoot far.  Sheila prepared a FHE lesson with Easter eggs and the atonement.  It was great for the kids to sit down for 10 minutes and talk about the Savior.  I was very proud of my kids.  They knew the answers to all the questions.  Even Ally, shared what she had learned in Primary today.  They listen more than I thought they did, even if Davis brings his helicopter to church he still is learning.

Open for 2013

It was a perfect day for Lagoon.  The sun was warm and the crowds were small.  Lagoon opened up today for the season, and we stayed the whole day and had a great day!  Gator was so excited because she had grown enough to ride the big rides.  She didn't even hesitate as she boarded the Wicked, and she rode the whole way with her arms in the air screaming with excitement.  I'm not sure we will go opening day again.  There were still some issues to work out, and it made me a little nervous.  The boys and I sat on the Rocket for about 10 minutes as our seat belts went up and down before we made a run for it.
Smiling away the nerves on the Rocket!  He used to refuse to go on this ride with me.  He would do every single ride at Lagoon, except the Rocket.
After going on the Hydroluge and getting soaked, they made a run for the hand dryers in the rest room to get warm.
