Tonight Dad and Dianne came up and we got together for Christmas. Mat and Andrea reserved a building over at Layton Park. It was a great idea and nice to have the big building to spread out in and no one had a messy house. One thing I learned though, what ever the occasion, just bring a football. I had games and activities all planned, but all the kids wanted to do was play with a football that was brought. One draw back of the building was there was no fridge. Krissy brought a bucket of ice cream for dessert so we set it outside the door in the cold. Some punk kids stole our ice cream! Seriously stealing ice cream, so lame. I'm off to bed, Weber County is still in school tomorrow. I can't believe it, the only county in the whole state of Utah that isn't on Christmas break. What a rip off!

The Grinch
Every Who down in Whoville liked Christmas a lot,
But the Grinch who lived just north of Whoville did not.
The Grinch hated Christmas-the whole Christmas season.
Oh, please don't ask why, no one quite knows the reason.
It could be, perhaps, that his shoes were too tight.
It could be his head wasn't screwed on just right.
But I think that the most likely reason of all
May have been that his heart was two sizes too small.
Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before,
Maybe Christmas he thought, doesn't come from a store-
Maybe Christmas-perhaps-means a little bit more.
And what happened then-well, in Whoville, they say
That the Grinch's small heart grew three sizes that day.

Maybe Christmas he thought, doesn't come from a store-
Maybe Christmas-perhaps-means a little bit more.
And what happened then-well, in Whoville, they say
That the Grinch's small heart grew three sizes that day.
Wrestling Tournament
Owen had his first ever wrestling tournament today and yesterday and he got 3rd place. Awesome job Owen, you did great! Black eye and all.

Another Christmas Evening
Tonight I took the kids to the Ogden Christmas Village. I love visiting here every year. One thing that was a huge disappointment this year was that there is NO snow. I'm so sad about this. Look at the boys, no coats even, and we wore the hats kinda just to make the picture look more seasonal.....what is going on this Christmas! Besides the fact that Mother Nature is on strike, the Christmas Village was still beautiful and so enjoyable to visit.

Farmington Station
This afternoon we took advantage of no homework and went to have a much needed family evening at Farmington Station. This is one of the places on our list every year, it is beautiful and ice skating is so fun on the little rink. With the kids busy schedule, I treasure nights like tonight that we can be together and have no other place to be and no other agenda than to hang out and be with each other.

Rudolf
These cute little Rudolf's.....aren't they adorable. They may be cute, but oh my gosh what a pain in the butt to make. Over an hour later, my kids had their treat tonight and in 2 seconds, I watched them disappear in one fail swoop right in their mouth's.

Christmas Hayride
Layton Burger Stop has a trailer that goes around the park to look at the Christmas lights. Tonight we went trough the park. Now if we could just get some snow, it would be a perfect holiday season!

A little Christmas
West Haven had a little lighting ceremony at the city hall. Santa was there and Owen's choir group sang some Christmas songs and we went on a hay ride, but I didn't get any pictures of that because I had already used my allotted 5 pictures set by stinkers Owen and Davis. Ally surprised me and Santa and asked for a horse, luckily Santa put a kibosh to that one and I didn't have to be the bad guy this time around.

They got coal
Tonight we decided it was a good night to go tree shopping
After the decorating was done. Our little tree dresses up nicely.
Tonight we skipped the movie, because we decorated the tree instead, but I still made a treat. The kids got coal, and they weren't too terribly thrilled about that.

Ichabod's Breakfast
We had our North Pole Breakfast this morning. I loved all the snowflakes, I wish there was really some snow in our weather forecast, but instead we are breaking records with warm weather. That is not what we want this time of year. There may be sun outside, but inside this morning it looked like a snowy Christmas. We had snowflake French toast, bacon and hot chocolate with whip cream snowflakes. And Ichabod the Elf is back to keep an eye on things around the house. Here's to a fun month celebrating Christmas.

Lehman's Cave
Today we decided to take a little adventure. Clark and I both had the day off work so we loaded up the kids and Dave and Sheila and hit the road. Lehman's Cave was our destination. Stewarts took the boys there on one of their trips a couple of years ago, and Clark went when he was younger, so Gator and I wanted a turn to see the cave as well. The drive was very LoNg, and quite boring actually, but it was worth it, the cave was amazing and beautiful. I love days like today where we can all be together and not have any other plans or commitments to separate us in different directions. It was a fun day, another perfect day to be thankful for!
