And this is why I shouldn't clean

Chocolate milk anyone? Luckily I got to Ally before she got the milk out of the fridge. She was thirsty. Everytime I am cleaning she is making messes somewhere else in the house. I think I will just give up, no more cleaning for me.

Staying close to home

The kids had the last 2 days off of school for UEA. We had thought about getting away somewhere, but the boys busy practice schedules made that not possible. Oh well, we still had a good time going to lagoon, and decorating halloween cookies. I still have not gotten used to these sports controlling everything. I want to just make plans to go and do things, but everything always gets spoiled by practice or games. Like lagoon. I had planned a fun day with the kids, but Owen ended up not being able to go because he had 3 practices that day. I missed him hanging out with us. The boys do well, and have a good time so I guess for now our family times will just always involve a sporting event. And that is ok because they are very blessed to be on some great teams with some great friends and great coaches. It is just me that needs to get used to it. Thanks Rachelle, Krissy & Andrea for getting together so early today so my boys could join in the fun. Sorry I left you all in a mess though. I guess the sports do come in handy some times. Just kidding.

Don't Laugh

I actually "crafted". And I think it turned out pretty cute. I can't take all the credit, the idea was from another blog and Rachelle found the idea for me, but I did do the rest. So a few things I learned from this...
1. Burlap is messy, stinky and itchy. I'm not so sure I want to work with it again.
2. When crafting, don't forget your son at basketball practice. Sorry Davis. Good thing his coach is long winded.
3. Crafting is not easy with a 2 year old
4. I am less patient than I originally thought, although that has always been a virtue I need to work on anyway.
But hey I have a cute wreath to hang outside. For the next two weeks anyway. Then Halloween will be over and I will need to find something to make for Thanksgiving.

Basketball games

Basketball season started this week. Ally is happy to have a little change up. And the boys have a great time playing. I am glad they like to be active and I am proud of how hard they work at everything they do.

New Family Pet??

This is Ally's cat. She brought home a pumpkin the other day and I put some halloween decoration in it. She now thinks this is her pet. She sings to the "cat", and she pets the "cat", she even puts it to bed. The boys get a kick out of this and play along with her. I am glad she likes this halloween decoration though, because she is scared of every store we go to. She says everything is spooky.

Couldn't decide...

Today was a good day. And I can't decide which pictures I want to post, so I will just post alot of them sorry. It seems as if life has gotten us down lately, and my mood has been suffering. But today we drove up and saw some of natures beauty. My kids just go along with my ramblings on how I love fall. They just smile and listen to me go on and on. On our drive we came upon a park in Huntsville that was great. And they thought it was a fair trade to be able to picnic and play at the park for me taking so many pictures. Don't let the sweetness fool you, they were extremely tired and cranky with each other, but they have learned to be good actors when my camera is involved. Probably they know it is better to just pretend and cooperate for a few minutes than to deal with my cranky mood if they don't. Ally is still learning, but I am sure it will happen.

Simple Things

Sometimes I have to look at the simple things in life, like Ally on the swing. She is just happy to be outside swinging. This is one of her favorite pass times. And the little girl loves to sing. It makes me smile. Oh and Lulu, this song is for you. She was singing about you and your birthday. Or so she told me anyway, she sings in a different language.

"They" say we will laugh about this one day

Ya well I want to have a word with this "they" person. Things are not going well lately at all and everyone just says one day we will look back on this time and laugh. Does this look like a laughing matter to you?

I don't think so either. Although luckily no one was in the garage this morning when this happend. And it just so happens my car was also out in the driveway when the door decided to just fall. And why was the car in the driveway you ask?

Well, because that is broken too! Imagine that. Clark was just beside himself. Gee work on the car or the garage door. For a bit he just sat and stared. And where was I during all this?

I was in the house tearing my vacuum apart because it also decided to quit working today. The poor thing is pretty old, but it was just not a good day for it to break. I should've done laundry too, but I didn't dare. I was scared that my washing machine would break too. Forgive me, but I just want to scream. We have had 2 drivers quit, Owen in the hospital, a broken down semi, a letter from our home owners insurance saying they are dropping us because they haven't received payment even though we have been paying our house payment and all this crap today. I know I need to look at the bright side and count my blessings, but first I just want to sit down and cry! Thanks for letting me complain for a bit.

Just can't help myself

Yes, more football pictures. I think I took over 200 just today. I know I am crazy. But I just can't help it. Plus I have other moms asking me to take them of their kids, so it's not all my fault.

Yes, Owen is back. And that is all I am going to say (we don't quite agree on that decision) but he loved playing and did great. His team won the region championship game today for the third year in a row. Fabulous job!

And Davis is just so excited to be the one out there playing this year and not watching from the sidelines. I'm afraid I've got two football lovers on my hands. And they did not get that from their mom. But actually I got that from them.

Ally well not so much. I am sure it will come. She starts off all excited, but she ends up on the hill with her chair facing the other way. I guess she felt watching the cars in the parking lot was better than the games. She was just upset because the attention wasn't on her for a minute. I've got my hands full with this one!

Frightmares & conquering fears

The kids and I went to Frightmares at Lagoon this evening. Yea for fall!! We had a fun time. At dark the spooks come out, and my kids are done at that point. But I worked on a fear of my own tonight. I love taking pictures, but I hate being in them. But I want pictures of me and my kids. So I gave my camera to Rachelle and asked her if she would assist me in over coming my fear of my camera.

As you can tell Ally was SO happy to be back at Lagoon.

Haircuts & Icecream

I don't see any correlation between haircts & icecream, but for some reason my boys think when they get a haircut, the next stop is out to icecream. I need to pick a new barber shop because the one we go to is right next door to Frosted Rock. But I am not really complaining, because I am always up for icecream. They definitely got their love for the treat from their mother!

Wasn't he just playing football?

I want to go back in time to Saturday, that was a fun day day. We were watching the boys play football, and now instead Owen is in the hospital. He came in yesterday with stomach pains. We thought he just ate too much junk at the Utah game the night before, but it turned out to be Appendicitis, and he had to have surgery. Poor kid was scared to death. It reminded me of a couple of years ago. But this morning he is healing, after a good nights sleep. And we have hopes he can go home today. Thankyou everyone for your prayers.

Proud Mama!!

Game Day!! And I just have to brag for a moment. I love watching my boys play football. Davis' team won North Ogden 26 to 13, and look at this tackle made by my man D Stew! Half the time I am just clicking away not knowing what pictures I will get, but I got home tonight to load the pics to my computer and was so excited to see this one. Way to go Davis, awesome tackle!!

And Owen doesn't get much chance to run the ball, but today they were up by such a large amount (they won 46 to 6) that they were mixing things up. Clark gave me the heads up that they were passing to Owen. I was so busy watching I about missed him in the shot. Awesome run Owen!!

Great games boys!! I am super proud of you both. Here is one more picture that I was lucky to catch "the moment".

Congrats Owen

Owen ran for student council at school and was voted in. I think it is so dang cute. We didn't have student council in elementary school when I was a kid. He had to prepare a speech and everything. He is pretty excited. He keeps adding more to his plate. With school, scouts, football, 2 basketball teams and now student council I keep wondering when the poor kid is going to throw in the towel, but he keeps everything going. I have been blessed with fantastic children.

100th post for 2010

No school today. Now that Labor Day has come and gone, it seems summer is really over and time to settle down and get in a good routine with school, and sports and homework and just being busy. But for today we didn't worry about all that and just had a fun day.

We had a cousin day. Rachelle and her kids came over and the boys enjoyed playing Madden11. When that got a little too heated it got turned off and they kicked it on the couch watching a movie and enjoyed a snack. Later we went to Dave and Sheilas for a BBQ. Yummy.
The boys were too busy running around playing football, but this is the one picture I got of them all evening. Chris LOVES my camera!

The girls were a little more happy to take a picture. They were all in harmony with their "cheese".

Ally was a very happy kid. She had a cupcake in one hand and an icecream in the other.

Who needs 4 or 9?

The other night when the boys were at football, Ally and I were playing outside. She loves to go for a walk around the neighborhood and she stops at all the horses and says hi. Her favorite one is a litte miniture horse named Daisy. She loves Daisy, and our neighbor even lets Ally ride Daisy and walk her on a leash up and down the road. But I got this cute video of Ally counting. She loves to count everything. As long as she doesn't need the number 4 or 9 in life she is going to get along great. She gets to 10 then she jumps all the way to 50. Okay we have some work to do, but she gets points for being so dang cute right!

Notice what they have on?

It is getting Jacket weather. Yea fall is coming!!! We were outside this evening playing and the kids ran in to get their jackets. I LOVE this time of year. I am so excited for fall.
