Sledding with cousins

Not much to say, the pictures say it all. The kids had a great time with no school, and the snow.

Ally and Lucy figured out how to get others to work for them.

Davis & Dallin

Owen & Chris

Ally & Eden

I am so mad at myself. After sledding and Davis's football, Ally and Davis had to go to bed early. Owen had a basketball game, so I got him a ride so I could stay home and get Davis and Ally to bed. Well, I am a horrible mom, first I had no clue this was the last one of the winter season, and second his team won! They went undefeated this season and won the championship. All the moms made sure to text me though telling me how great Owen played. Argh! I feel so bad. Great job boys!!

Birthday Girls

Krissy and I find it fun (and yes, easier) to have a little evening together to celebrate Lucy and Ally's birthdays. Tonight we had Clark and PJs family over to have icecream and open gifts.

When treats and cousins are involoved, everyone has a good time. I even came home with two less kids. No school tomorrow, means a sleep over at Grammy and Bahkeys. Ah a quiet morning, hopefully Ally will sleep in :) The boys will be back soon enough, with a whole tribe of cousins to sled in the back yard. Yea we finally got a good storm!

Monster Trucks

Another year, another evening at the Monster Truck show. Hard to believe we have gone to this event since Owen was 2, but the kids love it. And they look forward to it for weeks. It is a fun family night, with the crazy, busy schedules that we keep those are too far and in between lately so it was very needed and very enjoyable!!

She earned it

This is a picture of Ally and her new friend. She calls her dolls and barbies her friends. My poor girl really needs some playdates with "real" friends. Anyway, this is the friend that made the cut. We were on the doll aisle at Toys R Us for over 3o minutes, while she decided which one she wanted to bring home. I let her take her time, after all she worked very hard for this.

Ally and her friends watching a movie

Owen and Davis like the TV show ICarly. On the show, they eat spaghetti tacos all the time, and the boys always ask if they can try them. I think it sounds horrible, but I was rushed for time tonight and had leftover spaghetti, so they lucked out tonight and ate spaghetti tacos for dinner. Owen liked them, Davis not so much. Dang kids, why can't they ever agree, just once make it easy on me!

The boys have started something new. They will be playing arena football. I wasn't very happy with this, because I just wasn't ready for the time that football takes, but they are enjoying it so far. Even today when Davis's team was out in the snow running drills. The games are indoors, but not the practices. Poor kids. I guess the coach felt nice and he cut practice after 1.5 hours instead of the usual 2 hours.

So it's back to the ball park for us!

Weekend Happenings

Boy it was a beautiful weekend! Definitely did not seem like the middle of February. With all the sunshine, my kids were outside the whole weekend. Davis bought himself a new scooter with his birthday money, so he wanted to go to the skate park. That was fun for the boys, and Ally enjoyed it too. It got pretty busy so I figured I better get Ally out of there, before she started doing some of the tricks that the big kids were doing. Because I could see the wheels turning in her head, on how she could do it on her little Dora bike.

After a few hours at that park, Owen had to go to basketball practice at the park across the street from our house. I hardly ever go to this park because this is all it used to be.

This is our home football field, and that one slide got pretty crowded with little kids at the games. But now we have this

I am so excited. It is so close, and there are brand new basketball and tennis courts and this great playground. And big fields for playing and a sidewalk around the whole thing, which is great for bikes and walks. We will be visiting this park alot more often now. Although being there made me miss watching my boys play football.

And today Krissy and PJ spoke in sacrament meeting, so me and my kids went to their church to help with the kids. Although I don't think having my kids there was much help. It was a circus, but Krissy and PJ did a great job! After church we had dinner, so that was fun to hang out and chat and eat and enjoy each others company. Dang it, my camera battery died, but Lu did manage to get these cute pictures before it was dead. It was a busy (fun busy though) weekend.

Money talks

I've put it off long enough, it is time to potty train Ally. And man she is a stubborn little stink butt. Oh my gosh, she has fried every last nerve of mine. I always heard girls were easier, but I guess it depends on the girl. After trying everything else, and cleaning up LOTS of messes (sorry Walmart, that is all I am going to say), I *think* I have found something that will work. She did really great today because I am paying her. She wants a new baby doll, but it wasn't working to just say we would go to the toy store to get one, she wanted to buy it herself. Hopefully it won't take as long to potty train her as it will to save pennies and quarters for a new doll. I will gladly supplement her funds if she gets gets trained before she has enough of her own money!

Davis's Baptism

Today was Davis's Baptism. He was a little bit nervous, but it was a very nice service. His pinky didn't quite want to have part in it, and so he had to be baptized twice, but it cooperated the second time. He looked so grown up and so handsome! I just have to brag, I have a beautiful family. I am very blessed!

We invited everyone over after for lunch and a little party for Davis. He didn't want cake, we are not big cake eaters here. Instead he wanted Oreo pie. And we had his favorite soup. Cheesy Chicken Chowder. Yummy!! Thankyou to all our friends and family for coming out and supporting Davis on his special day.

No snow, no problem

We've been praying for snow for weeks, in anticipation of Davis's party. He wanted to sled with his cousins. Well, we haven't gotten any snow, darn it, but the kids made do. And they had a blast. Too bad they didn't go outside until almost everyone left. Ally is thrilled. Now she can go "sledding" all year long.

Something I want to remember

This is just a little post for me. I want to remember what a cute funny kid Davis is. Yesterday when we went and got pcitures done, the photographer asked him to think of the cutest girl he knows. This brought a smile to Davis's face very quick. After the picture was taken he looked at me and whispered, "I was thinking of you mom". Oh my gosh, melt my heart. Love that kid!!

Davis is 8 years old. How exciting. He had a great birthday. He woke up to his room decorations, and I took cupcakes and balloons into school, and he got to take a friend with him to Boondocks tonight. I think that sounds like a pretty fun birthday. Davis I love you, I am a glad you had a Happy Birthday.

Got some new pictures

I haven't actually taken my kids to a studio for pictures since Ally was 4 months old. So I decided today was the day. Davis is turning 8 and Ally is turning 3 so it was a good time. I love how they turned out. I was a little nervous, but my kids were fantastic. They smiled and got the job done in about 15 minutes. Now it is time to gear up for a new family picture.
