Halloween is a favorite Holiday with my kids. I think the boys like it more now than they did when they were younger. I love the fact that they still want to dress up. I was hoping they were going to go to Kaysville with me for trick or treating, but they both had other plans for their evening. Davis went to a party with friends, and Owen and his friend took her niece trick or treating.
Easy costumes!
We couldn't talk everyone into being a Carebear with us, no way Jace would ever be anything other than a dinosaur.
Owen with his friend Kylee. She lives in Tremonton, but they hang out quite a bit.

Carving pumpkins
When we got an invite to join cousins carving pumpkins, I said of course! The mess, the seeds, the pumpkin all get left somewhere else AND we get to hang out with cousins and make memories. It is a win win! For me anyway, thank you Krissy for inviting us over and making dinner, and letting us have the mess at your house.

Halloween Bucket List
Gator has watched the boys go to haunted houses every Halloween and this year she made a bucket list for the month of October. Davis was kind enough to take her and a friend to Haunted Hollow. I more or less told him he was taking her, because Owen couldn't go this year, and no way I am going to a haunted house. But Davis was fine being the default chaperone. The corn maze is more my speed, I was fine being the one to go with her and Sydney to the corn maze. Also on her list was Frightmares. We didn't get season passes to Lagoon this year, and I told Gator she could go one time and she decided to wait for Frightmares. Blake was nice enough to go with her even though it was insanely crowded.

Milford/hunting
We got back from Milford. It was a glorious 4 days off of work, school, life. Still crazy to me that Milford is the place I run when I need a break or to get away from responsibility. Stewarts house is really looking good and coming along. And my new car did amazing on gas mileage! Krissy and PJ went with us. They took Gator to Beaver with them at night to stay in a hotel, and Dallin stayed at the house with us. I didn't get up at 6am to go hunting, but I enjoyed the afternoons with them fishing, exploring, or hunting. No luck on the hunt, we just weren't in the right places at the right time I guess. Owen will come down again next weekend to give it another shot.

Smores
We got together at Josh and Rachelle's tonight for a fire and smores. I love nights like this. The kids were all playing, and laughing and I just sat there in my chair with a blanket by the fire listening to everyone. Life is changing so fast and we don't get together as much as I want to or we used to, and I cherish the times we can all coordinate our schedules and enjoy family time.
End of seasons
Soccer ended for Gator for the fall season. She will be playing volleyball again this winter. And the regular football season is over for Fremont. They will play in the playoffs in a couple weeks, but they did pretty good in the regular season. I'm so sad, I love football season. I never thought I would say I love football season, or look forward to Sunday and Monday night because I get to watch the NFL. The boys definitely rubbed off on me! My kids are having a little bit of a rough time with Stewarts moving to Milford. They miss them. But they really try to come up a lot and when they come up, they are at games and spend time with us. We're heading down to Milford next weekend for the deer hunt, and everyone is excited about that! Fall, football, soccer, and hunting. For sure the best time of the year.
