Happy Birthday Owen

I kinda don't love Owens birthday being in August.  It has always been during football season, and even though he loves football, it just make it hard to celebrate especially now he is playing college football.  He seriously has no free time from August-November, it is all football.  We picked up Davis and Kin to go up to Pocatello with us to have dinner today.  Owen requested pork with mock oreos and no bake cookies.  Foods he has loved for as long as I can remember.  Another thing that has always interrupted the birthday celebration is back to school.  We didn't get to stay too long, because school starts this week and we all needed to get home for that.  Happy Birthday Owen.  22!!  You're pretty dang cool and I love to spend time with you, thanks for letting us come up.

Free Tickets

 I entered a drawing for an improv comedy show at the Amphitheater in Layton.  I was notified on Facebook that I had won.  Gator and I had a great time.  It was called The Johnson Files.  We went early to wait in line, playing a game, and eating dinner.  We laughed so hard, kinda wish I was that funny.  

Before the show we went to check the progress on the Layton temple.  It looks so close to being done, I hope the open house is soon.  Look close there was a low rainbow right next to the temple.  

It was Owens birthday.  I don't like kids getting older and doing their own things on their birthday, but we are are going up to Pocatello for dinner tomorrow so that will be fun.  Owen had football, but after him and Kylee went to a monster truck show at the fairgrounds.  He has loved monster trucks ever since I can remember.  

Cutest Friendship

Gator has two of her best friends in my classroom.  Zoie, Brady, and Gator had a blast at the pool today celebrating the end of summer.  

Bear Lake

 We've been going to Bear Lake to wrap up the summer for the last few years.  I always feel bad because we can't stay the whole time with work, but we live it up while we're there.  I think I took some bad sunscreen though, because we got fried, I'll have to make sure to get a new bottle before next year.

Girls night

Years ago when Rachelle and I went out we were with all little boys.  Now we hang out with girls.  Chick flick outside at Layton park.  

Work Lagoon Day

 I didn't buy myself a pass to Lagoon this year, but Gator has been a ton.  The assisted living was having an employee Lagoon day so I had a free ticket and some half off tickets.  Gator, Eden, Lucy, and Dallin went over in the morning and rode rides.  I went later and met the girls at the pool.  They somehow still had energy to stay so Josh & Rachelle came over and spent a couple hours.  The girls were there from open to close, and they were exhausted.  Gosh Lagoon has so many memories.  I spent most of the time remembering all the summer days with my kids walking around every inch of that park.  

Weber County Fair and Rodeo

 Fair season just is so close to fall that I can't help but get excited when the fair comes around.  Every year there is a big petting zoo and that is actually my favorite part, but this year it was terrible.  There was a zebra and a pony with a unicorn headband on.  It was so disappointing, it wasn't even worth going in the heat.  The lemonade was good though.  We went to the rodeo so that was fun as well.  But once a storm rolled in, I was all about the lightning and rain.  

Once a year treat

 Last year we went to Roy Days and got a yummy pineapple treat.  I've waited all year for Roy Days to come back around just so I could go get another one.  And that is all I went to Roy Days for this year, was that yummy treat.  

Visiting Milford

 Gator went with Krissy and PJ over the weekend.  I had to work, and with football season coming up, I have to ask for a couple days off for games, so I couldn't get it off.  Anyway, they are happy to have her along with them, she is basically another kid in their family.  While they were down there, the girls went to the play Clue.  Gator said it was so funny, and the thunderstorm added to the effect.  I stayed home with Willow, not my idea of fun, but I got a lot of homework done.  That has been hard to do lately, we're just trying to finish up summer break and get ready to go back to school/work.
