One crazy day

 Saturday morning started at 3:00 am.  Kylee and I went to Las Vegas for Owens game.  It was the first game of the season, he started, and they played in the new Raiders NFL stadium.  It was pretty fun.  We actually missed our flight at 5:40 am though.  Now I know how to get a park and where to get a shuttle, but that morning I had no idea and we ended up walking WAY further than we had to and eventually turning around, going back to the car and starting over.  That got us behind and even after running all the way to our gate, we were about a minute away when we heard the announcement of the flight being closed.  It actually worked out better though because they were awesome to get us on another flight, even though we had to go to Oakland first, we still made it to Vegas in perfect timing because Dave & Sheila picked us right up at the airport and took us to the stadium.  So it was a lot of walking, running, and stress, but we got there and it was exciting to see Owen playing in such an awesome atmosphere.  He said it was so surreal to be there.  After the game, Stewarts took us back to the airport, but our flight didn't leave until about 10:00 pm.  By time we got there and sat in the air conditioning, we almost just didn't ever want to get back up to get on the plane again.  But finally at about 2:00 am we were back in Utah and got a couple of hours of sleep before Kylee drove home to Pocatello and I helped Gator with all the dogs.  It was nuts, but totally worth it.

 We were at Karma's for a few days taking care of her dogs.  We had a few extra dogs through out the weekend.  Kylee left Steele on Saturday while we went to Vegas for Owens game, and Davis dropped Joey off for us to watch him this week while he and Kin are in Mexico.  It was very crazy, but the dogs actually were really good.   We took them for some long walks, Gator had friends over and they went on more long walks, we did some homework and crocheting (getting ready for the booth this weekend), and hung out.    

9th grade

 Last time having a first day of school in Jr High for Gator.  I guess for me too since she is the last kid.  I'm going to savor the last year I have a kid at work with me.  

Happy Birthday Owen

I kinda don't love Owens birthday being in August.  It has always been during football season, and even though he loves football, it just make it hard to celebrate especially now he is playing college football.  He seriously has no free time from August-November, it is all football.  We picked up Davis and Kin to go up to Pocatello with us to have dinner today.  Owen requested pork with mock oreos and no bake cookies.  Foods he has loved for as long as I can remember.  Another thing that has always interrupted the birthday celebration is back to school.  We didn't get to stay too long, because school starts this week and we all needed to get home for that.  Happy Birthday Owen.  22!!  You're pretty dang cool and I love to spend time with you, thanks for letting us come up.

Free Tickets

 I entered a drawing for an improv comedy show at the Amphitheater in Layton.  I was notified on Facebook that I had won.  Gator and I had a great time.  It was called The Johnson Files.  We went early to wait in line, playing a game, and eating dinner.  We laughed so hard, kinda wish I was that funny.  

Before the show we went to check the progress on the Layton temple.  It looks so close to being done, I hope the open house is soon.  Look close there was a low rainbow right next to the temple.  

It was Owens birthday.  I don't like kids getting older and doing their own things on their birthday, but we are are going up to Pocatello for dinner tomorrow so that will be fun.  Owen had football, but after him and Kylee went to a monster truck show at the fairgrounds.  He has loved monster trucks ever since I can remember.  

Cutest Friendship

Gator has two of her best friends in my classroom.  Zoie, Brady, and Gator had a blast at the pool today celebrating the end of summer.  

Bear Lake

 We've been going to Bear Lake to wrap up the summer for the last few years.  I always feel bad because we can't stay the whole time with work, but we live it up while we're there.  I think I took some bad sunscreen though, because we got fried, I'll have to make sure to get a new bottle before next year.
