A way to beat the heat!

Yes, it was a very expensive way just to beat the heat, but I was sitting in my house today and I was not happy. For some reason I just woke up in one of "those" moods, and everything bugged me. I was bored and hot and I just didn't want to sit around all day. It was a dangerous mood to be in though, for my bank account anyway. My kids loved every second of it. Because they were spoiled rotten. We had a great afternoon today at Chuck e cheese. Thankyou Chuckie for giving us a great day together!

She was having so much fun playing in this car without it even moving. I put the token in and she made her famous "wow" face.

And this is what the kids spent their tokens on. I had to go grocery shopping at walmart with them wearing these. Oh and the glasses squirt water, that was fun believe me!

Rodeo Season

We went to the Ogden Pioneer Days Rodeo last night. I wasn't terribly impressed, but you know we do things just for our kids and this was one of them. My boys LOVE rodeos, and they were so excited the whole night. Ally is more my kind of girl, we spent the night munching on our snowcones.

Owen and Davis are home!

The boys got home today and they had a great time. And yes, Dave and Sheila survived. They said the boys were so good and well behaved. Phew, that is a relief for any mom to hear about their kids. Thank you so much Dave and Sheila the boys were so excited for this trip and they have some great memories. They brought home some great pictures too. I sent them with my camera, that was harder to part with than my kids. No I am just kidding! They were excited to be the ones taking the pictures though. So they visited Mt. Rushmore, Martins Cove, Bear World, Wyoming State Penitentiary, and saw/did lots of neat things. They talked nonstop about everything the minute they got home until I made them go to bed. I think Ally was a bit upset to have all the attention taken away. She saw the boys and she turned and ran the other way. She may not be, but I am excited to have my boys home!!

Summer photo update

Here are some more photos of what we have been doing lately. I don't have much to say, but I have plenty of photos!

The boys have been taking swimming lessons. They are doing great, and they are even teaching me to swim in our pool. Yes, I know embarrassing I am 31 and don't know how to swim!!

Lagoon, our 2nd home in the summer. My kids love it and we have a good time playing together!

Yes, more water. Andrea invited us to go to the splash pad in Ogden. It took some talking to get the boys (Owen) there. He said it was for little kids and he was too big. But he had the most fun out of all my kids. He just has to be a little cranky about things, but we love him!

And today the kids and I went to the Roy Aquatic Center. Since they jumped off the high dive last week, that is all they talk about, and now that is all they want to do. So for 3 hrs, they jumped off the diving board!

Whew!! I am tired. This summer is wearing me out. I need a day off. So I pawned my kids off on Dave and Sheila. Actually they volunteered to take them on a little roadtrip with them. They were planning a trip to Martin's Cove and Mt. Rushmore, and wanted to take the boys along. So for the next few days Ally and I are hanging out. Good luck Dave and Sheila!!

Swimming, swimming,swimming

This is all my kids do anymore. So I have nothing new to write about, because it is the same day after day after day. These were taken tonight at the Farmington Pool. The man that runs my grandma's home rents out the pool for the families of the residents. Tonight the boys braved the diving board and now there is no looking back. And I wish Ally were just a little more scared of the water. We had a great time, and guess what is on the agenda for tomorrow? Yep, swimming!!

Walk-in Movie

Dave and Sheila's neighborhood had a movie party tonight. The kids had fun eating popcorn and hotdogs and watching the movie outside on blankets. Ally only lasted about 5 minutes when the movie finally started, but the boys were wide awake ready to watch another movie. We had a fun night, thanks for the invite.

4th of July

The 4th of July was just like every other holiday. Lots of fun things planned and we wanted to make it to everything, so we were running back and forth trying to fit it all in. Thanks to everyone for the hard work and fun times!!

We started the day out at Grandma & Grandpa Jones. Thanks for the yummy breakfast. They have made us breakfast every year, and it is a great way to start the day.

Then we were off to Layton for the parade. The weather was great this year, and was nice and cool and cloudy. It was perfect parade weather. I think it kept the crowed quite and calm though, because it was almost eerie to me how subdued the crowd was. It was like one of those slow motion, surreal moments or something.

My kids found their energy though after and enjoyed playing at the park and feeding the ducks. Football will always have my kids smiling and havinga good time!

Than it was on to the Jones again for our family parade and BBQ. Grandma Jones was a great sport and got on the motorcycle with Clark. She is great and is always willing to try anything. Besides the parade and food, we enjoyed some games and good company.

At this point, we were exhausted, but the fun must go on! We left Kaysville and went back to Layton for fireworks and some cake and icecream for Blakes birthday. I love this part of the holiday because it is winding down and cooling down. It is fun to just go sit on my mom's lawn and chat and hang out.
