Cannibal

Lagoon's new ride was supposed to open with the 2015 season, but took longer then expected and just is now opening.  Last night we went to Lagoon and rode the Cannibal.  It was exciting, and scary, and thrilling, and fun!!

The Rush

We've gone swimming at The Rush a couple times, and Owen and I played on the other side on a fieldtrip, but Davis and Gator hadn't ever done the other activities there.  They had a great time, I got a little sick of the black light.  Everything there is black with the glow in the dark, so by the time we went bowling, I said no to the glow in the dark bowling, I needed some light.
You don't need two hands to bowl.  Gator beat all of us with her high score of 99.  Ya, it was it bad day at the bowling alley for the rest of us.

Iceberg got us again

I hadn't planned on a trip to Iceberg for milkshakes today, but like I said when Owen got hurt, that place was put next door to Tanner Clinic on purpose.  I took the kids to training this morning, and the hour was over so I was there to pick them up.  My phone rang about the same time as I saw the kids walking toward me, it was Emmett (their trainer) telling me Gator had fallen and hurt her arm.  She was very upset and in pain.  The boys took good care of her once we got home and got her comfortable in bed with a movie and ice while I called the doctor.  I almost didn't take her because Ryan was all booked today, and I didn't want to deal with urgent care.  While we were there waiting in line to be seen, Ryan called me and told us to come over to his office and he would get her right in.  What an awesome uncle/doctor.  I always feel better, when Ryan is there when we go in.  We went right into xray, and the first one they took it showed a fracture.  Gator was so cute though, just smiling through it all, and telling everyone thank you.
2 days in a splint, then she'll get her hard cast on Wednesday. This girl likes to swim,  color, draw, and to write me love notes,  how will she survive this 4-6 weeks with her right hand in a cast?
See the milkshake?  She knows how to work me too.  And she is a girl after my own heart, her favorite flavor is my favorite flavor.  Grasshopper.

Family Day

When we take the trip down to Toquerville, Clark doesn't usually go.  He stays here and works while we go and visit with my dad.  He was able to come down for the party, but we had still been gone the whole week prior, so when we get home we need a family day.  We had fun going and getting lunch, then taking the kids to see Inside Out.  Everyone enjoyed that movie, it is a challenge these days to go see a movie that everyone agrees on.  And it is a bonus when everyone is happy with the choice!

90

90 years old, amazing.  And just yesterday she was out kayaking on the reservoir.  My grandma is an active and fun lady, and she doesn't show emotion very often, but today she was touched that we were all there to celebrate her, and her amazing 90 years!
Clark rode down with Mat this morning and was able to attend my grandma's birthday party.
This guy entertained all the little kids for quite some time.  There are snakes and lizards all over and the kids love to catch them.

My dad and his siblings with grandma.
A stop at Swig on our way out of Toquerville heading home.

Quail Reservoir

Today was a fun day spent at the reservoir.  More and more cousins and family filed in throughout the day getting ready for my grandma's party tomorrow.
Gator did awesome on this little kayak.  She spent pretty much the whole day paddling around the lake.  She even joined Davis, Collin, and Ty going across the whole lake to some cliffs.  I had no idea where they went and I was informed that she took turns jumping off the 35 foot cliff to the waters below.  I was shocked and a little upset, but then when I saw they were okay, I was just mad they hadn't taken my phone with them to snap some pictures!
I've been wanting to try paddle boarding, and today I got my chance.  It was hard, and I failed miserably, but Davis jumped right on and totally showed me up.  He did great, and I am sure he's found another hobby he wants to pursue.

Desert 4 wheeling

My aunt Carolyn and cousin Lacey came by this morning on 4 wheelers and said they had an extra if the kids and I were interested in joining them.  We said definitely and jumped on and rode around the desert with them for a couple of hours.
When we got back from our ride, Gator wanted to take Izzy down to the creek to play some ball and cool down.  I have a hard time going down to the creek now.  It is so different than what it was for all those years.  That was the first place we would go when we pulled into town, was the creek and swimming hole.  There just isn't any water left and it's pretty much just a trickle.  Gator and Izzy had fun playing while I had fun watching them, and enjoyed a trip down memory lane.
Owen knows how to make me smile and he's been sending me some pictures of Lake Powell.  His phone died though and his charger isn't  working so dang it, I'm out of luck.  I will have to wait until we get home to talk to him about scout camp.  He is having a great time though!

Sheeps Bridge

After dropping off Owen this morning, Davis, Gator, and I drove up to Sheep's Bridge to play in the Virgin River.  We hit this spot up whenever we come visit, it's a pretty reliable place to have a good afternoon.  The water wasn't clear like it usually is, dad said that was because it was raining up in the canyon and the dirty water was what was coming down.   Gator just said she was swimming in a chocolate milk river, Davis said it looked more like Root Beer because of the bubbles.  The dirty water didn't stop us from having fun,  all the muddy water did was save all the little frogs from being caught and stuck in a bucket because we couldn't see any, but once the lightning came, we decided it was time to get out.
I came back this morning to be greeted by this new lizard friend Gator had caught at the park.  She named her Lizzie, and played with her for a while then gave her a kiss and set her free.
