Disneyland

Josh and Rachelle invited Gator to go to Disneyland with them.  They've been planning the trip for over a year now, and Gator loved it.  It poured pretty much the whole time they were there, but they survived.  Gator got home and her feet are covered in blisters, but she still said she'd do it again.  She is happy to sleep in her own bed.  It was all worth it, even with the 4 days of homework she has to make up.  I wish I could've gone, but I am so happy she got the chance to go on such a fun trip with her cousins.

Northern Lights

Willow and I went for a walk tonight and saw the Northern Lights.  It was a beautiful night.

Sadie's

Gator and a group of friends went to Sadie's.  They had to split the activities into two weekends, because they had a swim meet yesterday as well.  But that was fine, because the group had so much fun hanging out that they just got to split the fun.

Halloween

We weren't out very late for Halloween even though it was a Friday night.  Gator and Averee have a swim meet tomorrow and the Sadie's dance after that.  But we did go to Josh & Rachelle's to hang out like we always do.  Brady and his mom came over for a little bit of trick or treating, we sat by the fire, ate junk, and drove home listening to Christmas music.

Corn Maze

While we were down south, we bought tickets for a corn maze in St George.  We went on Saturday after the family party.  The kids all went to the haunted house, I chose to hang out with Eli doing the rubber duck races instead.

Toquerville

It was fall break, and Gator and I went down to Toquerville.  We took Millie with us to the Orem temple on the way down.  We came down for the family dinner dad and Dianne do every fall.  Rachelle was gracious enough to be Josh's snowcone and gave me my costume, because I just dropped the ball this year and didn't have a costume.

Most wonderful time of the year

With it being fall break, Frightmares was open for the long weekend.  We took Brady before we headed to Toquerville.  I will be so sad when this time of year is over.  I live for fall all year long.

RedWest

When Owen told me about this music festival back in June, I didn't think the whole state of Utah would be there.  It was insane.  I honestly don't think I have ever been in a bigger crowd.  Gator and I took Friday off of school and we went and saw Ella Langley, Kacey Musgraves, I an Munsick, Midland, Marfa (before Friday I had never heard of them, but they were pretty good), and a bunch of smaller singers.  We ate good food and hung out with Grace & Lu.  Saturday, Owen & Kylee took my place and went for Koe Wetzel, Post Malone, Treaty Oak Revival, and Ole 60, but they didn't get to see any of them because a big rain storm rolled through and shut the whole thing down.  It was a mess I guess, and everyone was forced to leave the fairgrounds with no word on the concert resuming.  They waited in the truck for 4 hours then were finally updated and thousands of angry people had to leave without seeing the performers they all came for.  Very disappointing.

I wish Post Malone and Koe Wetzel would've been playing during this time with totally clear blue skies.

Change of plans

I had my fall day planned for months.  We were going to go up to Idaho and into the mountains to go shooting and "leaf peeping" ( a term I just learned).  I watched the weather all week, and the storm they were saying was going to arrive on Friday night just kept getting bigger and bigger..  Well, that storm definitely came and it was a big one.  Gator went to Owens on Friday, the three of them went to the temple Friday night.  I love that Owen and & Kylee are supporting Gator in her temple habit.  The temple is so important to Gator, and she loves that she can share that with them.  I laid in bed all night Friday night listening to the thunder and pouring rain.  It didn't let up the whole night and I woke up to a flood Saturday morning.  I cleaned it up and left for Idaho.  Davis & Kin drove me up and we knew our plan for shooting wouldn't work out.  The rain was still just coming down.  I decided my kids really do love me though because they know how important my family time is, and how much I love fall and they still suggested we go for a short fall walk on a paved trail.  It was a beautiful walk.  Afterwards we went to Costco and got some junk food, and Soda Barn for a drink, then back to Owen & Kylee's for dinner, snacks, and football.  Kylee made us chicken noodle soup which tasted so yummy on such a cold fall day.  The day was still perfect even though we had to change our original plans.  I am grateful for any time with my family.
