Random

Owen and Kylee took a road trip to Colorado, I was quite impressed with the pictures that they actually sent to me.  I was left home with Steele, but I am glad they had a good trip together before grad school.

I got to see them long enough to drop off Steele, get a treat, and have them spend the night before starting their trip.  I'll take it though, I am happy with even a few minutes of seeing my big kids.

I've had Gators bedroom door shut since she's been at Carries.  Owen and Kylee slept in there, so Willow took the opportunity to get in her bed for a minute.  She was kicked out quick, but she sure misses Gator.
Here are a few pictures from their trip.  The main reason they chose Colorado Springs was for the pro rodeo hall of fame.  Owen was like a kid in the candy store when visiting that museum.

Once in a while Davis sends me a random picture.  He works hard at his job.  This picture was taken after he got off work the night before at 5pm than drove the hour home to sleep for a couple of hours than be back at work at 10pm for an overnight shift.  He was exhausted, and filthy.

Gator came home long enough to celebrate the end of the school year with me.  We went and got beans, rice, chips, salsa and guacamole for lunch.
I don't even know on this one.  Davis facetimed me and I just bust out laughing.  Gator thought it was real.  He has had a lot of different hair dos, I am not so sure I would be able to get used to this one though.

Wisdom Teeth

I've reached another parenthood milestone.  All my kids have had their wisdom teeth removed.  Gator went in this morning and had hers removed. She was a rock star.  I didn't go back with the boys, but Gator asked me to go back with her and she did awesome.  Since she is housesitting until Thursday, I took her back to Carrie's and got her all settled in and Lucy went over to babysit her, since I had to go to work and get home tonight for the dogs.  Steele went home this evening though so I have one less dog.  For now Gator is in Carrie's awesome bed, eating mashed potatoes, and watching Dance Moms.

No School

Summer break means we can go to the movie with Brady and Zoie during the day and have a picnic lunch which is much better than being in school.  Today we went and saw IF.  It was a super cute movie, we all liked it.  Zoie fell asleep for a bit, but she was still having a good time.  Gator wanted to go today and have popcorn before she gets her wisdom teeth pulled tomorrow and she won't be able to eat movie theater popcorn for a little bit.

Last Day of School

This school year was really hard.  I am so glad that it is over and I can say that I made it.  I am almost done with my degree and hopefully soon I will have my own classroom.  As for next school year, I plan on going to the new junior high.  Gator finished her sophomore year at Fremont, and for her junior and senior year she will go to West Field High.  Although let's not get ahead of ourselves.  First we are going to have a fun summer break beginning today!

Since she is at Carrie's still I told her she had to take her last day of sophomore year photo herself.  Thanks Gator for this cute photo.  This last day of school is different than we've had before.  Technically the last day is tomorrow, but no one is going tomorrow because yearbooks are being handed out today.  I am confused at this new way of doing things, but oh well, the school year is done, and we're out of there!!

Can't forget her friends at Rocky.  She came by for a bit today to say hi to everyone here and sign a few yearbooks.

Layton Temple

This temple seemed to take a long time, but it is finally done and we will have a new temple to go to soon.  We went to the open house today, and it's beautiful.  We are excited to have this be our new temple.  It sure is different driving here in Layton and seeing a temple, but it is awesome.

Moved out

Gator packed her bags and moved out.  I am glad that it is only for 2 weeks, I am not ready to be by myself, this stinks.  With us now having Shannon's dog, I couldn't go with her so she is on her own for 2 weeks with plans for different friends or cousins to come join her for a night here and there.  Willow did go with me this evening to help get her settled then we went home.  Koa isn't too keen on visiting dogs, so I guess is a good thing I am staying at our house and Gator is staying there.  It still was lame driving away this evening without Gator.

Flowers

Gator and I planted flowers for Mothers Day.  I don't know much about gardening, but I do love pretty flowers in my yard.
We got our favorite drinks from Starbucks and went to the cemetery to meet up with family for Mothers Day.

Monster Truck Mothers Day

I wasn't very original with the plan for Mothers Day this year.  I don't really care what we do, I just want to see my kids and hang out with them.  I bought tickets for monster trucks back in November on some stocking stuffer sale, so I thought that could be our activity again this year.  We had dinner at a bowery before we went over to the show.  I did change the menu up at least.  we got pizza from Pizza Plus and cookies from Twisted Sugar.  The show was fun and entertaining, but I love just hanging out with my kids so doing anything with them would be a good time.

Northern Lights

I never knew we'd ever be able to see the Northern Lights clear down here.  We went out around 11:00 and went for a drive last night and we couldn't see anything.  Owen texted me at 1:30 in the morning saying to try it through my phone camera.  Well, that did the trick, and it was amazing.  Davis just happened to be on his way home from work, and Owen was texting while I was outside walking around the neighborhood.  I wish I would've woke up Gator, but she likes her sleep and she had to work this morning.  She told me that was the wrong choice though.

D.U.N

D.U.N is the snap I got from Owen as he submitted his last undergrad assignment.  He may not talk or spell like a college grad, but he got a 3.95 GPA, so he must've done a lot of things right.  I am so proud of Owen for getting his degree.  He didn't want to go to graduation, because he says he isn't done yet.  He has the summer off, then he will start grad school.  I still can't believe I have a kid in grad school.  He didn't want a party so Davis, Kin, Gator, and I went up to Pocatello to have a BBQ to celebrate.  Kylee's family came as well and we all froze together.  It was pretty windy, because it is always windy in Pocatello, but a storm was also blowing in.  We are supposed to get snow tomorrow.  I am actually okay with that, because the longer it takes to heat up, the better in my opinion.  Congrats Owen!  I am not far behind you.
