After all the yard work, PAL camp, play dates, weight lifting, chores, and such we've had this week, we were all finally home this afternoon ready for some relaxation and time off. But, after a half hour we were bored and looking for something to do. We drove into Ogden because I had to get a temporary tag for the car and we were hit with a wall of traffic and closed roads. After getting the tag, we went the opposite way and decided to bowl another game, we've set up a fun contest for the summer involving bowling, so good thing it's .99 cents. We will be bowling a lot. One game at a time is all I can handle though, then my skills (what little bit I have) go down the toilet, so we were done bowling and figured we'd leave the car where it was parked and walk a couple of blocks to where we had seen all the excitement going on earlier. Tonight was the 13th Annual Historic 25th. St Car Show. 13th annual, and I'd never heard of it, but we started a new tradition this year. We had such a great time walking up and down 25th St. looking at these amazing cars. There was so much going on, restaurants were out with free samples, music, drawings for free stuff, businesses giving away stuff, and people that had dressed up. After we were hot and hungry. The kids love the street taco stands, so we got a couple of those to get us home where we had planned on making pizza for dinner. But, we were still hot, so a stop at the shaved ice stand was a definite must!
"Somebody learned how to bowl", was Owen's comment about his game today. Last week he did so not great, but he won today.
