Work and Play

Owen and Davis have been doing a lot of yard work over at Grandma and Grandpa Jones.  Davis could only help one day because of PAL camp, which he loved, but Owen has been in Kaysville every day.  And the day that he isn't needed in Kaysville, he mows the lawn here.  What good kids!  This coming week, they have an even bigger job and both boys will be in Kaysville all week.  Grandpa Jones is actually doing them a great favor.  He had the job that needed to be done, and he asked the boys and he's paying them.  So they can save some money for their sports and activities they are doing.
We had a picnic dinner at the park Tuesday evening.
On Wednesday, when Ally got out of Yoga class, there was this monster truck in the parking lot.  She was so excited.  There was supposed to be a monster truck at the school carnival, but with the wet spring, it had to cancel.  So she's been disappointed, and walking out of the building and seeing this huge truck just sitting there, she thought it was a miracle.
7 lbs. of ice just what these girlies need for lots of snowcones!
It actually hasn't been very warm yet this summer, definitely not warm enough for Lagoon water, but it is summer after all and swimming is a favorite summer activity.  Our friend invited us to her house/pool today and even though it was pretty cool outside, Davis and Ally had a great time.
Even in a pool, Gator finds the pets and plays with them.
And even in a pool, Davis is playing basketball!
The final report cards came in the mail, and a trip to Krispy Kreme needs to put on our calendar.  What awesome grades.  I am so proud of this kids!
