Leaves
I heard the bus drive by today, but I saw just a blur as the boys ran in and back out. I heard them more than I saw them. They came running in long enough to throw their jackets and back packs at me and they were gone again yelling that they were going down the street with their friends to play in the leaves. Ally heard the words outside and play and she was gone too. So all I could do was grab my camera and follow her down the street to all the action.

Time to play
Now that we don't have football every night, we have time to play. Although we are not completely free (basketball is still going) alot of our evenings have opened up again. Davis had basketball practice tonight in Clearfield at the aquatic center. So while he was practicing the rest of us were swimming. Was that mean of us? He still got to join in the fun though after pracitce.

Minibowl
The big game came, and our boys played their little hearts out, but they didn't pull it off. I am proud of this team though, they were so committed to each other and took care of each other. It has been fun to watch them the last 3 months. But now football is over and already they are talking about next season. Thanks to everyone for supporting my kids in all they do.

Field trip & Class Parties
Owen went on the AR fieldtrip this week. I think it is great they reward the kids, for their hard work. I went along, bus and everything. He and his friends had a great time at the Dinosaur Park.

And Davis had a fall party at school. They did alot of fun activities. I was lucky enough to be helping in the room where they got large rocks and smashed corn (to make corn bread). 2 hours of that and I was ready to go home and take tylenol.

We've been so busy with sports and activities at the school that poor Ally has gotten worn out. She fell asleep the other day standing up. She had been watching tv, and just couldn't stay awake anymore. Too bad I had to wake her up and go again. Poor girl, just can't catch a break!

Trick or Treat
The kids had fun trick or treating tonight. Thanks Lu for coming out and joining us. And for taking such good care of Ally. She does love her Woo Woo. My boys sure look tough, but man they are chickens. Oh well, I am not a fan of "spooky" either. And of course they had to dump out their candy and do their trading. It was a fun night, a bit chilly and breezy, but the kids didn't mind that at all.
Going to the Mini Bowl!!!
Owens football team is going to the mini bowl. They played the toughest game of their season today. I wanted to go home after the first play, because it was an interception with Syracuse scoring a touchdown. But they just needed to get their jitters out, and that just made the boys mad and want to win even more. It went into overtime 4 times. Talk about a stressful game. But West Haven fought just a little bit harder and won 26 to 18. The mini bowl is next Saturday the 6th. It is at Roy High and starts at 1:30. Way to go Grizzlies!!

Halloween is coming
Yummy, I am eating fresh baked pumpkin seeds. I love this part of Halloween. Halloween is just a yummy holiday. Not too healthy, but yummy all the same. The kids always enjoy carving pumpkins. Ally said good bye to her kitten, and turned it into a jack o lantern. I didn't think she would do it, but she didn't even hesitate. We were all lucky she was around to enjoy the afternoon with us. I lost her today at the store and freaked out!!! She was behaving in typical Ally fashion and throwing a fit because she wasn't getting her own way. Well, she took off. I was at Smith and Edwards, and I hate that store. It is messy and cluttered and just not a place to lose a 2 year old. Well, she was finally found in the candy aisle, unwrapping candy and enjoying herself. It was one of those moments that I was so relieved to see her, but than that relief turned to frustration. This girl, man I sure love her, but she is definitely a handful. Enjoy Halloween everyone. Be safe and if anyone is looking for something to do Saturday morning, Owen's football team is playing at 11:00 at Ben Lomond High. This is the last playoff game, the winner goes to the minibowl. Good luck grizzlies!

FIRED!!

Clark is SO fired. He and the boys had a guys night out tonight and went to the Utah football game. I sent him with my camera, and he says he " accidently left it in the car". You know that is not even a good excuse because his phone, which he always has, has a great camera. Don't my kids and Clark even know me!?! Next time I will just have to go along with them on their fun outings and get the job done myself!
She strikes again
When will I learn that Ally needs constant supervision? I was downstairs for 2 minutes throwing in a load of laundry (I know cleaning again, I said I wasn't going to do it). I come upstairs to a very guilty Ally saying "sorry mommy". She had gotten a pair of scissors and cut her necklace. I guess she wanted to hide the evidence so she cut up my sheets and was putting all the beads through the hole in the sheets. Agh, are you kidding me. Anyone seen a good sale on sheets?

Staying close to home
The kids had the last 2 days off of school for UEA. We had thought about getting away somewhere, but the boys busy practice schedules made that not possible. Oh well, we still had a good time going to lagoon, and decorating halloween cookies. I still have not gotten used to these sports controlling everything. I want to just make plans to go and do things, but everything always gets spoiled by practice or games. Like lagoon. I had planned a fun day with the kids, but Owen ended up not being able to go because he had 3 practices that day. I missed him hanging out with us. The boys do well, and have a good time so I guess for now our family times will just always involve a sporting event. And that is ok because they are very blessed to be on some great teams with some great friends and great coaches. It is just me that needs to get used to it. Thanks Rachelle, Krissy & Andrea for getting together so early today so my boys could join in the fun. Sorry I left you all in a mess though. I guess the sports do come in handy some times. Just kidding.

Don't Laugh
I actually "crafted". And I think it turned out pretty cute. I can't take all the credit, the idea was from another blog and Rachelle found the idea for me, but I did do the rest. So a few things I learned from this...
1. Burlap is messy, stinky and itchy. I'm not so sure I want to work with it again.
2. When crafting, don't forget your son at basketball practice. Sorry Davis. Good thing his coach is long winded.
3. Crafting is not easy with a 2 year old
4. I am less patient than I originally thought, although that has always been a virtue I need to work on anyway.
But hey I have a cute wreath to hang outside. For the next two weeks anyway. Then Halloween will be over and I will need to find something to make for Thanksgiving.

New Family Pet??
This is Ally's cat. She brought home a pumpkin the other day and I put some halloween decoration in it. She now thinks this is her pet. She sings to the "cat", and she pets the "cat", she even puts it to bed. The boys get a kick out of this and play along with her. I am glad she likes this halloween decoration though, because she is scared of every store we go to. She says everything is spooky.

Couldn't decide...
Today was a good day. And I can't decide which pictures I want to post, so I will just post alot of them sorry. It seems as if life has gotten us down lately, and my mood has been suffering. But today we drove up and saw some of natures beauty. My kids just go along with my ramblings on how I love fall. They just smile and listen to me go on and on. On our drive we came upon a park in Huntsville that was great. And they thought it was a fair trade to be able to picnic and play at the park for me taking so many pictures. Don't let the sweetness fool you, they were extremely tired and cranky with each other, but they have learned to be good actors when my camera is involved. Probably they know it is better to just pretend and cooperate for a few minutes than to deal with my cranky mood if they don't. Ally is still learning, but I am sure it will happen.

Simple Things
Sometimes I have to look at the simple things in life, like Ally on the swing. She is just happy to be outside swinging. This is one of her favorite pass times. And the little girl loves to sing. It makes me smile. Oh and Lulu, this song is for you. She was singing about you and your birthday. Or so she told me anyway, she sings in a different language.

"They" say we will laugh about this one day
Ya well I want to have a word with this "they" person. Things are not going well lately at all and everyone just says one day we will look back on this time and laugh. Does this look like a laughing matter to you?

I don't think so either. Although luckily no one was in the garage this morning when this happend. And it just so happens my car was also out in the driveway when the door decided to just fall. And why was the car in the driveway you ask?

Well, because that is broken too! Imagine that. Clark was just beside himself. Gee work on the car or the garage door. For a bit he just sat and stared. And where was I during all this?

I was in the house tearing my vacuum apart because it also decided to quit working today. The poor thing is pretty old, but it was just not a good day for it to break. I should've done laundry too, but I didn't dare. I was scared that my washing machine would break too. Forgive me, but I just want to scream. We have had 2 drivers quit, Owen in the hospital, a broken down semi, a letter from our home owners insurance saying they are dropping us because they haven't received payment even though we have been paying our house payment and all this crap today. I know I need to look at the bright side and count my blessings, but first I just want to sit down and cry! Thanks for letting me complain for a bit.
