Davis is 8 years old. How exciting. He had a great birthday. He woke up to his room decorations, and I took cupcakes and balloons into school, and he got to take a friend with him to Boondocks tonight. I think that sounds like a pretty fun birthday. Davis I love you, I am a glad you had a Happy Birthday.

Got some new pictures

I haven't actually taken my kids to a studio for pictures since Ally was 4 months old. So I decided today was the day. Davis is turning 8 and Ally is turning 3 so it was a good time. I love how they turned out. I was a little nervous, but my kids were fantastic. They smiled and got the job done in about 15 minutes. Now it is time to gear up for a new family picture.

And mine

My last post was about Ally's favorite time of day, well here is my favorite time of day. My room in my "safe spot" and the kids know there is NO fighting in my room. I love when we are relaxing at the end of the day and hanging out in my room. The boys are so busy with stuff that we don't get too many nights that we can do this anymore. But it is still my favorite

Ally's favorite time of day!

Ally likes to see the bus in the morning, but she is sad when the boys climb aboard. She waves and then goes in the house to play. But she always seems to know when the bus will be back with her boys. She loves to go outside and wait at the bus stop. We usually blow bubbles, or she rides her bike, but as soon as she hears that bus turn the corner her hands go up in the air and she cheers that the bus is coming!

Am I a bad mother

I know I should be stopping my kids from flying down the stairs, but instead I just stand at the bottom with my camera. Which by the way, I really need to clean my lens!

Cost of cuteness

Being a girl is dangerous. Ally found that out tonight. Her and Davis were playing and they crashed into eachother. Davis was such a good big brother. He made sure Ally was ok, and comforted her before he burst into tears. He had hurt his leg, and ankle. I was holding Ally and checking out Davis and I went to touch his leg and my hand covered in blood. When they crashed into eachother, the barrette on Ally's bow had cut her head. I got her in the bath and I called my neighbor who is a nurse. By the time she came over, I had Ally cleaned up and I felt pretty silly because it actually is a small cut. She told me I could take her in for a staple, but she would be just fine without. I opted to stay home, it had quit bleeding and Ally was happy just to have a visitor. She gets bored with me sometimes. She has a whole drawer full of bows, hopefully she'll forget about tonight and still let me put them in her hair.

Teaser

The kids are lovin the "springish" weather the last couple of days. The sun has been out and bright, but it still has been a bit chilly though. They don't care, it is time to play outside. Yes, I like this little teaser, but I really do want more snow!

2 in a row

Well, I haven't even pulled out my camera in over a week. I know so unlike me, but I am feeling SO much better and so are the kids. Thank goodness. So I will start taking new pictures again, but for now here is another old one. In honor of Little Mans birthday coming up in a couple of weeks, I will post one of him.

Time for another

It is definitely one of those "slow times" that I was talking about. Perfect time to post another old picture.

All at once

I was so tired tonight and desperate for my kids to get feeling better, so I bundled my sick kids up and we took off for the doctor. We were there for 4 hours. And we finally came home with just about every "winter sickness" that we possibly could. The kids have influenza, Davis & Owen have pneumonia, Owen & Ally have ear infections, and Ally has croup. So please to all my family and friends, don't forget me. No one will be seeing us for awhile, we will be home under blankets with kleenex and lots of fluids. We would love to get together in the spring, when we are finally germ free. Actually we need to hurry and get better, we have birthdays and a baptism coming up.

My wonderful friend brought over dinner this afternoon. She makes delicious chicken noodle soup, and that warmed us up. I am excited for tomorrow because I have leftovers, and instructions from the doctor to not go anywhere. So I already hear my blanket and box of kleenex and soup calling me.

I feel so silly

Before I begin, in my defense we have all been very sick. So please don't laugh too hard at me. Owen sure did though. And he, of all people has no right because he brought home this massive cold and we have all been on deaths door since Friday. Oh my gosh, way high fevers and a cough and just misery. Last night, I was so scared because Davis was hallucinating. He had us all worried, but as a result we got NO sleep at all. And that is where the sunglasses come in. I was in bed with my 2 personal heaters (Davis & Ally) and it was time to give Davis some more advil. So I put my hand on my nightstand to get my glasses and I put them on so I could see to get Davis his medicine. I freaked out. I couldn't see and I thought for sure my high fever had made me blind. Well, yes in my sleep deprived, sick, miserable state I had grabbed Ally's sunglasses instead of my eye glasses. And as I write this down, I realize how stupid it sounds, and yes I give everyone permission to laugh at me, but please say a little prayer too that we will all get feeling better really soon.

When dads are away...kids play!

It makes me happy when other peoples husbands are gone at work or out of town. Sorry for you, but mine is always gone and I like the company. PJ is in California this weekend, so Krissy and the kids came over for dinner. The boys shot guns, and the girls dressed up. It was a simple and fun evening.

Owens new do...he's growing up!

Owen has had the same "hairstyle" for about 9 of his 10 years of life. As soon as he got hair, I realized I would have to keep it short. It is thick and coarse and frizzy. He hated it being combed and would never let me put gel in it. So every 3 weeks we go and get it cut. Well, Clark took him in for his haircut this time, and he came home looking so different. He had gel in his hair and it was sticking up. He looks so adorable, oh I guess it is handsome. Funny story about the hair, now he is obsessed with his hair. And he won't leave the house without it being styled. The day he got it done, is the day we had some friends over for New Years Eve. Well, our friend has 2 very cute daughters, ages 10 & 12. Owen kept asking me all day if his hair looked ok. Finally I realized, he wanted to look good for these girls. Oh no! Is this happening already!?!

When things are slow

Like usual the new year is starting off pretty slow. The boys went back to school and Clark went back to work. So it isn't as exciting around our house now. I was going through old pictures tonight. I love my pictures (that is not new news). I decided when things are slow I will just randomly post an old picture. Just for the fun of it. The picture tonight is a cute one. If you can get past the size of Owens head, Grace and Lu look adorable. Alot of the baby pictures of Owen are mostly head. He has grown into his head by now. Dang cute kids!!!

First & Last

First picture taken in 2011. We went over to Clarks parents house for lunch today. The kids had fun playing out in the yard, with Kurts new dog Tucker.

Last picture taken in 2010. We had a fun get together for New Years Eve. The kids got a little crazy though with their night sledding. I don't know how they didn't freeze!

Another snow day

We had another snow day today, but thanks to the storm last night we just had to go in the back yard and not an hour up the mountain. It has been a super fun week. It will be sad next week when the boys go back to school, and Clark goes back to work. Ally and I will have to find some things to keep us busy. We still have a few days to play together though:)

Cashing in

Last year for Christmas, Clark received a gift card for Sparetime fun center. As always he gave it to me for safe keeping. Well, that is not always the best idea, because I put things in a safe place and then forget where I put them. That was the case with this gift card. I couldn't find it, and forgot about it. Although I found it a couple of weeks ago, and thought hey Christmas break will be a great time to cash this in. We did that today, and enjoyed Clarks gift from last Christmas.

Found some snow

I was sad to not have enough snow to play in, so we took a drive today to find some. And we had a very fun day with Clarks parents, Ryan's family and Lu.

I am surprised, but grateful to be bringing Davis home unharmed. He was a little crazy, and had some pretty good wipeouts. But he always popped up with a smile, sometimes it just took a little longer. He told me after one of them, it was so bad that he stopped breathing for 1 minute. Yikes, if I believed him I would be scared, but I don't think it really happened that way:)

Owen didn't let Davis show hime up too much in the wipeout department. He had a pretty good wipeout too, but he is much more conservative that Davis when it comes to the "stunts", so he pretty much stayed on his sled.

After we all got home safe and sound, we warmed up and played a fun game Davis got for Christmas. It is a funny game, but it is even funnier playing it with over tired kids. Each person asks yes or no questions and guesses what they are on their card.

And all this fun leads up to one very tired little girl. She looked so cute in her new jammies sleeping with her babies.
