A nice family night!
We had a really fun day today. My kids have got spring fever so bad, and they are loving this weather. They took their kites over to Josh and Rachelles, and the boys all had a great time flying kites in the field. I love kites, but it is quite the stressful activity for 4 boys that probably spent more time with their strings tangled that in the air! Dad and Dianne came into town today and we went out to dinner. Yummy, we went to Bajios. Good thing it is a pretty slow restaurant because we filled it up fast with all of our kids! They don't stay seated for long, so we ate fast and went back to Josh and Rachelles so they could all run wild outside and they stayed out way past dark. That was great, so we could all sit in the house and chat and enjoy the company. While we were there we celebrated Graces "13th" Birthday. She was thrilled to be spending it with her little cousins. Okay maybe not so much, but hey she is a teenager now! We all love you Gracie! My kids were exhausted when I finally dragged them out of there. And they were NOT happy with me because they were all playing the Wii. The only way I got my kids home is by saying we would be back tomorrow. Mat and Andrea are blessing Parker tomorrow. Although I don't think they realized that will be a quiet activity, quite the opposite than the way all the kids were acting tonight. We had a great time, thankyou everyone for joining us!

I am so sore, I can't even move. I decided that I was sick of being fat and I wanted to be in a little bit better shape for my vacation this summer. So I innocently purchased this DVD (Rachelle I will forever hold you responsible for this mistake). Those of you that are nice and fit please do not do this workout and laugh at me. I will be on phase one for a good long while. It really is a good workout. My intentions in posting this is so everyone can check up on me. Ask me how I am doing, maybe then I will stay committed to this, even though I hate this DVD so bad I cry during the whole thing and for a long time after I am done and trying to move.

Typical Utah weather & a bit of Spring Fever!
Today was a beautiful day and it was the complete opposite of yesterday! Yesterday we had snow ALL day. We got about 6 or 7 inches here, but I know that was on the low end of the totals. Than today the sun came out and it was a wonderful "spring" like day. That is Utah weather for ya! It is different from one day to the next, but I love it like that. Along with the sunshine today came some anxious kids in my house. They were out riding their bikes, and going for walks and enjoying the sun while it was out. But man once it went behind the clouds, it sure got very cold!

Monster Trucks
Every year we take the boys to the Monster Truck show. It is a lot of fun, although very loud and dirty. I think this show was the best one we have ever been too, because they took a lot of stupid stuff out and put in a cool motor cross freestyle event. Those guys are crazy doing flips on their motorcycles and other such tricks. I just looked at Davis and I said "no". He is already gearing up to be like that. Just today he went to the toy store to spend his birthday money and came home with a bike jump. There was a very creative truck. He was named Backwards Bob, and his truck looked like it was driving backwards. He had turned everything around and his back was the front of his truck. He was pretty popular with the crowd. I think the boys favorite was Maximum Destruction. The driver is from Layton and he has always had his own truck in the show, but this year he went to a team and the boys were excited about that. So we had a fun night, although it was a little scarey going home with the falling snow. There were a few cars that had slid off the road, we made it home safely and now the kids are in bed, and I am not far behind them!

Last one I promise!
So did you notice in some of the pictures Ally had a beautiful little nose, and than in one she had an owie on it? As if she wasn't in a bad enough mood at the studio today, she went and fell off the chair and cut her nose and that just added to the drama. But you know we had to sing and dance and practically stand on our heads to get her to smile for her picture. But when she fell and I picked her up the photographer took that picture of her and I, she smiled right away. Silly girl!

I love these crazy kids!
I just didn't want to wake up today. You know those days when you just want to pull the covers over your head and ignore the fact that it is morning? Today was one of those days. But there were my 3 kids, wanting breakfast so I figured I just better get up and start the day. Ally was in her closet trying on her shoes again! That little girl LOVES shoes. Although she usually brings me mismatched shoes, she still wants those particular ones on. Which is funny because as soon as I put them on she takes them off and her socks and than laughs while I put them back on. This is kind of a pain when I am going somewhere and I have to search the car for her shoes and socks before I can go in!

I think the reason she likes her shoes on, is because she knows if her shoes are on she is going outside. And she could live outside if I let her. She wants to go for walks, or swing, or play with the dogs anything as long as she is outside!

And than there is Davis. He has a pair of socks that he got for Christmas and he hasn't worn a different pair since then. He wears these socks to bed, to school, to church everywhere. I just have to wash them over and over and over. Luckily for his birthday Jana got him some more. Thankyou Jana, you just made my life a little easier, by not having to laundry so often!

He is also my little dare devil filled with imagaination. Every family has one of these kids right. The ones that you often wonder where in the world they came from. Well, Davis is mine, and I wonder that about 10 times a day. But he keeps us all smiling and entertained. He can play with a matchbox car for hours, heck he could play with a toothpick for hours. He is always making up a new game, and using his imagination. I cringe at some of the things he does though, like standing at the top of the stairs and (thinking he can fly) gets a running start and than jumps all the way down to the bottom. Sometimes I wish he would wear this helmet everywhere he goes.

Owen HATES my camera. I rarely can get a good picture of Owen because I guess after 8 years of me and my obsession he is just done with it! He knows how to get my goat and won't cooperate when I get out my camera.

Picutres may be my obsession, but football is Owens. Everyday he talks about moving to New England and playing for the Patriots. He told me he wants 8 kids, but if I wanted to see them I would have to go there to visit. He asks Clark (who is a Bears fan) if he will cheer for him when plays for the Patriots. He plays it on the XBox, talks about it day and night, watches it on the TV, and bets on games at school. He has 3 jersies and he alternates wearing them daily. I wash them and he wears them. (what is with my kids and making me do laundry more often than I would like) He is very passionate about football.

So I may not have wanted to get up today, but at least I have some great kids to get up for.

Party time!
After Owens fantastic (nail biter) basketball game (great job Owen) we had a fun evening with all of our family. Everyone came over for a birthday party for Davis. Thankyou everyone for coming. He is one spoiled little boy. The kids spent the evening playing games and we all laughed about how dorky we used to dress, like when we "pegged" our jeans, or wore leg warmers. And don't forget about those "shirt buckles" does everyone remember those?!!

Sadly Davis' fish, Rex didn't make it through the party. Some curious (adorable) cousins decided he needed a bath, so they poured soap in his bowl. He got really hyper for a minute and than just got still and flipped upside down. Poor little fish!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAVIS!!!!!
Today Davis turned 6 years old. He was so excited he hardly slept last night which led to a very emotional day, but we had a lot of fun none the less. I took cupcakes into his friends at school. I love those kindergarten kids, they are so funny! Clark and I took Davis out to lunch wherever he wanted to go. He chose steak!! Not my choice, but my boys are just like their dad. He was a little embarrassed when the staff sang him happy birthday, but he got an Oreo shake out of it so he was just fine! We have been planning to take him to Fat Cats as a surprise, but a couple of hours before we went Clark blew the secret. He was on the phone with his mom and telling her what we were doing for Davis' birthday, well Davis was sitting right next to him. He thought that was funny and was very excited to go hang out at Fat Cats. We went bowling and the boys played the games. They love to play these kind of games. Whew it was a very busy day, but we had a lot of fun together. Davis went to bed saying he had a "wonderful birthday".
